SHIPPED PACKAGES WITH ETSY LABLES STUCK IN PRE-TRANSIT EVEN AFTER DELIVERY

I shipped 4 packages on March 1 with Etsy printed labels. All 4 are still hanging in Pre-Transit despite the fact that 3 are already delivered and one out for delivery per the USPS site.

Please fix this issue!!

When contacted someone on Etsy chat, I was told to provide the tracking numbers of the affected orders and order #s which I did.

Then the contact insisted I needed to verify my account with last 4#s of bank account, credit card, and or Tax #! I have NEVER been asked for that information and it is totally unnecessary to verify the packages were delivered per USPS!!

Is this new policy? The person would not confirm that and I disconnected without providing the information. It felt like a scam!

I have a similar problem. I mailed with an Etsy Label on March 1st. It's now out for delivery but still shows pre-transit. I was on chat with Etsy support for over 30 minutes. They said it's coming up as an invalid tracking number for could see the progress on the USPS website. They said it was an Etsy problem but could not fix. I'm supposed to get an email on how I can fix it!. Evidently, each support person is giving a different answer.

Thank you! I am seeing other threads with the same issue now. You would think Etsy would address it as a known issue in Technical!!

Did you take the packages in and get the acceptance scan?  If it does not show accepted then Aftership thinks the item has  not been posted.  Are you getting a receipt using the desk or kiosk?

If using a scan sheet make sure it is for the day of shipping.

Tracking issues are sensitive.  Therefore the contact is probably just making sure it is you asking.  Just trying to prevent scams and the person may just be going overboard in wanting confirmation.

When I ship, I always check late in the day to make sure the items got accepted.  So far using the kiosk has been very successful for the items getting the initial scan of acceptance.

@PrimFun You do keep repeating this response in the threads about this tracking issue but you're not reading what is being said. The USPS website shows movement and delivery - it's Etsy who is not updating past the initial "pre transit" when label is printed.

I took packages into the PO on 3/1, they were scanned, I have receipt, they've been delivered but still show as pre-transit on Etsy while the USPS shows all movement from start to finish.

@PrimFun  - My package has been scanned and is showing out for delivery on the USPS website. Etsy is still showing pre-transit.

I went through the same process 2 days ago. They updated 1 to read delivered but said I need to message the buyer to see if they received the package before they will update it to delivered. I will not message the buyer when USPS says it was delivered. I was merely attempting to advise them of a technical issue they have and need to fix.

With Etsy what the buyer says now overrides what USPS says.  They can claim not received anytime they want and Etsy will refund their order.  Its' been going on for a while now.  All of you trying to fix these are wasting your time because even if Etsy changes it in their system for you they will still refund if the buyer says they don't have it.

YES! All packages were scanned in and are tracking perfectly with USPS! Three are verified delivered one is marked out for delivery.

It is a problem with ETSY linking with the available information from USPS.

Just did that and was asked the same questions, last four of bank account and Tax ID.  They don't ask that part to fix your issue, they do it to verify that it's actually you who belongs to the account.  I didn't like it either... but understood why I was being asked.   The agent did fix things... so it is possible, and I hate to say it, but you may want to try again.  Some, but apparently not all folks... are reporting their Star Seller ratings are being dinged over this.  If you do enough so this won't affect you... then eh.  

I asked if this problem had been resolved, as I am shipping three more packages today.  Was at least given the honest answer that they didn't know.  But as folks here have said... this is apparently a widespread issue that Etsy is not acknowledging, and may have started happening during an update.  Will try to remember to report back to you if this becomes a problem with today's packages as well.
