My shop has 486 sales and 179 five star reviews. Nothing less than 5 stars. But at the top of the page on my shop it says:
Rave reviews
Average review rating is 4.8 or higher
That sounds like somebody has given me a less than 5 star review, and it dragged the rating down a bit, which isn't the case. Why can't it just say they are all 5 star reviews? Or don't say anything at all. That would be better.
It would be better to say nothing. Just do away with it. They used to have it where it said something more like, buyer consistently gets 5 star reviews. But people didn't like that either, because any more than 1 in 20 reviews less than 5 stars and it went away. So they changed it to the average. Obviously you can't please everyone.
It's boilerplate ... it corresponds to SS where the average review has to be 4.8 or higher.
I noticed the same thing ... but it saves Etsy calculating the average for each shop.
But I agree ... although it does raise an eyebrow.
