My pinkish dot with the number of reviews Etsy wanted me to submit did reduce in number & has finally disappeared. But the dot stays there until the window to leave a review has timed out. And I have now been relieved of needing to close out the "leave a review" pop-ups.
I have never received a request for a review from Amazon. Even the companies who operate "independently" - they are shown as Seller & Shipper - have never sent me an email requesting a review.
On eBay I get the emails confirming the order, its ship date & upon delivery. But I have never received an email from eBay asking me to leave a review, nor do I get any pop-ups reminding me I have reviews to submit.
I have received email requests from Wal Mart to leave a review on a purchase but thankfully it's a one and done. The other sites we purchase from are usually more utilitarian (appliance or auto parts) and thankfully don't send emails.
Though our power went out the other day for a few hours. My electric company asked me if I would take the time to leave a review of the phone call I'd made (was on the line for) to report the outage. I declined by hanging up. Seriously, they want to review a strictly automated call that has a funny sounding voice who understands what I'm saying maybe 80% of the time? At least when they required a number to be selected for the issue at hand I never had problems. But I digress.
