Review report

  • I recently reported a review, as it contained rude language and video of customer literally aggressively destroys an item he bought. Later I received an email from Etsy support that they decided to delete a review and deleted it. However, after a few days review is still there, and after contacting at Etsy chat about it - representative of Etsy support told me that they will contact me via email. However no one have contacted me since then unfortunately. What should I do?

The one I see with a low star has no rude language or video.  I don't see any other.  It does look like the one you described has bas been removed.  The one I currently see has nothing in it that would qualify for removal.

It wasn’t removed, but what confused me is that seller received an email from Etsy saying it violates Etsy rules and they deleted it. Why send this email if Etsy doesn’t think it is something that should be deleted ?

Looks like Etsy removed the video but allowed the written review to stand.  Likely, there's no scripted response to address this unusual situation, so Etsy customer service chose the scripted response that comes the closest.  Etsy customer service is all about scripted responses.   Getting a custom written human response from Etsy is exceedingly rare for anyone these days.

Right now, review videos can only be seen by the seller.  The response you posted - with what I perceive to be a photo the Buyer sent you in a private message - makes things worse.(  The dirty fingernails made it even worse, for me.)
