I noticed this morning that the little blue message alerting me of a new message from a potential new buyer doesn’t go away even after I replied within the first hour and we’ve exchanged a few messages already. Normally that blue alert turn to a green one congratulating us for doing a good job by responding quickly to a new message.
No, the customer did not start a new thread that I missed, there was only one thread with the messages exchanged (I have screenshots and timestamps as proof).
Could this be a technical bug and how can it be fixed, please?
@LaLoreley: As has been reported many many times in this forum, there is apparently a user interface glitch where the blue banner does not go away promptly. While there are reports of other separate issues with Messaging which can negatively affect a shop, this one is not affecting Star Seller and is 'merely' an annoyance.
@BagmakerSupply I found your answer to be nice and friendly.
My sincere apologies if your answer was indeed nice and friendly and not annoyed and condescending like I initially thought.
I just read this morning that failing to attain the proper criteria does affect our visibility so this is worrying me, especially because my response rates have been lower than what they should be given the fact that I did make sure to answer all my first-time message within the day.
@LaLoreley: Sorry if came across that way, but I was definitely not annoyed and did not mean to sound condescending.
@mommawhazelsquilts: Thank you.
As a long time Etsy shop owner who struggles to keep afloat while juggling a 3-month old, I was afraid this glitch would affect my stats and therefore my visibility so no, this was not « merely an inconvenience ».
I was told to come here and log a complaint even if I could see that I wasn’t the only one, and that’s what I did, as factually as I could given the circumstances.
I do appreciate your answer and the information you gave me but I would have appreciated it even more if it wasn’t so condescending.
Thank you for your time.
I don’t have that glitch with the dot telling me I need to answer. But my reply stats are still at 0 even though I have replied to 3 in the last couple of weeks.
My reply stats are also much lower than what I calculated they should be, given the fact that I did reply to every message rather quicky, so that’s why I was wondering if this could negatively affect the stats and the visibility/ sales.
