WARNING!!! Etsy has done it again! For at least the third time I have found listings changed  from manual to auto renew. This time they outdid themselves and changed EVERY SINGLE LISTING to auto. At least now I can change them all back to manual with just a few clicks. Make sure to check your listing every so often to make sure this doesn't happen to you.

From what I've heard, when you let a listing expire then manually renew it, that renewal is set to automatic renewal, just like how all listings are defaulted to auto renewal when created unless changed to manual. So when you manually renew a listing, you must make sure to change it to manual, again.

Yes. This is like the 'I didn't know I had to answer all the messages" complaints.

You may change all of your listings to manual all at once through batch editing in LISTINGS
In Listings, choose and check the little box on the left to say "Select XX on this page" or "Select XXX on all pages".

The drop down will tell you what you have on 1 page, or what you have listed on all of your pages. choose one of them.

When you check that, go right to EDITING OPTIONS and click the drop down: Change Renewal Options

Manage renewal options for XXX listings

Manual: I'll renew expired listings myself.
Automatic: They’ll renew as they expire for $0.20 USD each. You can turn off Auto-renew at any time in your Listings Manager. For more details see our Fees & Payments Policy.

Click the circle to the left of Manual. An orange dot appears, then click apply. It doesn't matter what is is assigned what, it RESETS ALL OF THEM.
An orange bar drops down and says: You have updated XX listings.

I know this. What Etsy did was change ALL my listings to auto, even those not up for renewal. I sell mostly winter items and after 9 or 10 years on Etsy, I know it does not pay to list some of them over the summer.
