I have just renewed a couple of items that I had deactivated about two years ago. I adjusted prices to todays standards but the items still show up with the old price in my shop. I thought I had made a mistake so I went to edit the listing, however the price in the editor is the one I'd changed it to. I tried changing it again, different by a dollaer --it still shows up in shop with the old price. This is confusing and annoying, doubly so, because I don't want my customers to be confused or misled with the price issue. I have no idea what price would appear in checkout.
I guess the workaround would be to copy and then publish anew but I've just paid about a dollar for renewing these old listings and I sure won't be refunded that :D. Any ideas what can be done?
@alargeaviary: "... but the items still show up with the old price in my shop ..." Are you seeing the incorrect price both in your shop and on the listing itself? If possible, you may want to wait a bit. There are ever increasing reports of noticeable delays before changes appear to the public. Some of this can be attributed to server side caching, but there also seem to be delays in edits propagating through the back end.
I just had the same issue this afternoon. When I renewed an expired item and changed the price, the listing appeared in my shop with the old price. I have tried editing the item and republishing, to no avail.
I hope this glitch gets fixed soon.
There is another post with this same issue...
Same here, with the addition of changing the amount on an existing listing to be consistent with the amount on the new listing, and it won't change either. FYI, I didn't see this posting before creating another posting about it a little while ago.
Hey, just coming back to say I have found a solution to this. I went to the old form, changed the prices in there, and voila, they are now appearing correctly in my shop.
I shared this in another discussion, however, and it didn't seem to work for every person, for whatever weird etsy reason. So your mileage may vary, but it's worth a try if you're dealing with this too.

That's a great solution for now, and I too had to use it yesterday when my changes wouldn't stick, even after waiting half an hour to make sure.
However, on the 25th we won't be able to access this solution any longer.
It worked for me to go to the old form. I could make the changes there for the price. i tried to do a chat session with Etsy. It would have been nice if they would have told me to try using the old form because I was spending money deactivating listings and trying to reactivate with the correct price to no avail
.
Unfortunately, the new form is set for Tues 25th
It's not only renewing. I changed the price of a listing WHILE creating it , and it seemed to have recorded the new price, but when I activated it, it appeared at the first price I had choosen. When trying to change it, it would appear at the good second price, so it was impossible to change. I unlogged and put it in my cart, and it was still the older price. I ended by disactivating the listing and creating a new one. What a loss of time !
I ended by disactivating the listing and creating a new one.
And that may be the plan here. Get sellers to give up and create a new one. Cha-ching for Etsy!
It's sad that we have to assume the very worst, all the time, but maybe it truly is just a glitch which needs to be fixed within the next two days!!! Do you hear this, Etsy???
Nowadays on Etsy you may be content if your listings appear at all for buyers to be seen and not be too picky with what price. (Very ironic)
Also happening here.... SIGH.
There is a workaround, though we should not need one.
Open your listing and it will default to the new listing form. Verify that the price shown is your new price.
Then use the old form link at the top to switch over. You should see that the old form still shows the old price. (This is 100% a bug).
Nonetheless, change to your new price and publish from the old form.
Hopefully, Bob's your Uncle.
ps If the new form should happen to show the old price, please refer to this bug report about the Price data entry field on the new form.

In a nutshell - when editing prices, please be sure to backspace out the old price, or highlight & delete it first.
We have 3 days left to use the old listing form before it is taken down. So many unresolved bugs with the new listing form. I am really concerned.
Still having issues.....
