When I try to renew an item from the Sold Orders Page, it is impossible to increase the number to anything greater than 1. I change it to 5 or 6 and when I click renew, it changes back to one. I then need to go to the listings section to change the number of items available.
There seems to be some changes. I can no longer open a purchased listing to make changes to the listing, like you, I now have to go to Listings to make changes to it before renewing. Lots of annoying extra clicks.
This happens to me too. I try to renew from the sold orders page. Remove the 1 and type in a different number (larger quantity) and it resorts back to 1. Happens in safari and chrome (PC and iPad). Frustrating!
The sell on etsy app always has done this for me on my phone. But when using the app I enter 5, it reverts to 1 when I verify to renew it. The same "page" is still up so I enter 5, then save. BUT, that is the old sell on etsy app, it has always been that way. I just tried to renew a sold out item in Chrome on my PC and it renewed to 5 without a struggle. Does etsy have different versions of the website for the various browsers etc? I have a feeling etsy may be doing browser detection. I rarely update my bowser or apps (etc) in a timely fashion. So you may be encountering issues because of new etsy changes that I am not seeing because I am out of date, lol.
I have been encountering issues when listing. It gives me an uh-oh in red to fill in fields when all of them are already filled in. Also, thumbnails are not updating. I assume etsy sent code live without working out all the bugs
Yes, getting the same problem for over a week now, SUPER irritating to do all those other clicks. And the listings have nothing wrong with them, they are all up to date with all the latest info updates that Etsy is asking for. Would really appreciate if Etsy would fix this. I am going to open a ticket on it too, I thought they'd fix it on their own but does not look like it.
UPDATE, so I contacted support via chat, the person there seemed to not understand the question after a LONG attempt to explain, so finally I said I'd send a video. The help person claims to be human but it's 1AM Sunday night/Monday morning, since when do human chat peeps work at this hour? So I went to make the video but the problem magically stopped happening even though it had still been happening just an hour earlier. For the first time in weeks, the update for a number larger than 1 from the orders page worked normally. So that's highly sus but it seems somehow the contact person fixed it while 'checking on it' and claiming there was no problem. Anyway, might want to try the 'there is nothing wrong' conversation with chat for your store too and see if the supposed 'doing nothing but checking it' also fixes yours. Pfft! So I feel totally gaslighted now but it least it seems to be working again.
(also am thinking the listing i tried to update for the video was from a long time ago because all recent ones were already updated the hard way by me via the listings pages, I'll need to check this again as soon as I get a recent 'sold out' on the sold orders page, it might be only a prob on newer sold outs? If so then I gaslit myself I guess!)
It appears that the issue has been corrected now. Thanks for pursuing it with Etsy!

Not for me, still having the prob today but only for newly sold out orders. I opened a ticket with Etsy and sent them a video of the problem, they did not seem to be able to understand the issue on chat, I was on the chat for eons to no avail. Kinda irked that this is listed as solved when it is not solved for everyone.

I am also still having this issue, though I haven't reported it to Etsy. I figured it was a common issue, but maybe not so much?
This seemed to change when the new app rolled out - no idea of whether that was coincidental or not. If you need to change the quantity, it seems like the only way to successfully get it to save is to renew from the listings/// sold out tabs - that opens up the actual listing window so you can modify.

Still trying to get this fixed with tech support, they've been giving me the run around for days, just repeating the same question scripts I already answered, etc. I get a diff person answering every time, it seems like none of them want to actually look into it so each one just says something useless and then hopes the next person will deal with it instead of them. None of them will acknowledge this thread here either, I suggest each of you start a ticket or complaint with tech support, they are maybe trying to pretend this problem does not exist, the only way I see to fix it is for a lot of people to complain directly, I suspect they try to ignore these glitches threads if they can. This thread somehow got marked as 'success' which means it's all fixed, when it's not, so they probably now have plausible deniability. Maybe I should start a new thread? Also something I have noticed, only newer sold out items have the problem, if you go back to a really old instance of something sold out that needs renewing, that one works fine. However something that sold out recently still has the problem.
You guys will need to complain to tech support to get any chance of fixing this. THey need to get more complaints to take this seriously. Tech support is now trying to tell me it's 'fixed' because I was able to change some stock amounts from the listings page, they are trying to ignore that it's still not fixed to work from the orders page, this is the second time they've tried to do that. I sent them a video and everything, first they tried to claim they could not see the video so I sent it in a diff form and since then it's been repeated gaslighting and run around of various types, it's clear that they are trying to stick their head in the sand and hope I give up. They are also refusing to acknowledge this thread here with others having the same prob. Please help me out by sending your own tech support complaints, I need back up. We'll need to work together to get this fixed. Please refuse to allow them to say it's fixed until it's actually fixed or you will probably have this problem forever.

They gave me crazy work around.
Seems like they only want me to sell one of each item I offer.
You can renew correctly from the Listings page. I wouldn't call that "crazy". But I would call it annoying.
