When I try to go to etsy, I am always redirected to the sanctions policy page (https://www.etsy.com/legal/policy/sanctions-policy/122383404929). I can't manage my store, although interestingly it's not locked and I'm getting some sales. It looks like my IP address got into some kind of "sanctions IP address list". This is strange as I do not fall under any clause of the sanctions policy. I live in Western Ukraine, hundreds of kilometers from the DNR/LNR and from Belarus (the geographically closest places to me from those mentioned in the etsy sanctions policy).
To access my shop and etsy as a whole, I have to use VPN. But, in my opinion, this is not very convenient and under certain conditions can lead to blocking of my store.
Maybe someone can give me some advice on how to get me back on etsy. Support has not responded for almost a month.
@paperloverboutique This might not help but have you tried going to Etsy from other browsers or from another device e.g. laptop, mobile device, tablet etc? I wonder if the redirection is being caused by a browser cache/cookie that is stuck.
Otherwise, you need to contact Etsy Support through the Shop Manager > Help, or through the Help Center. If you still have a support request open, reply to the email to let them know you still need help. Keep replying to the same support ticket.
Unfortunately, the same problem occurs when trying to log in through other browsers on PC and through the Etsy Seller app. But, when I use 4G Internet on my phone, I can log in through the mobile app.
I have heard that Etsy does not like VPN and tends to block it. If you are not able to access Etsy without using a VPN then I don't know what the solution is.
If you have an email from support, try responding to that email and tell them that you still need help.
Etsy may not even be able to help you, and this sounds like more than their general customer support could assist with, so you’d likely have to wait a long time, or maybe never hear back from them. You might have better luck and faster service if you contact your internet provider and see if they can change your ip address. They may be able to understand the situation better.
Remove the VPN and see if that works. I tried VPN and Etsy does not like it. You probably don't have a VPN on your phone.
If you have robust security, you could remove the VPN for Etsy but use it elsewhere.
@paperloverboutique: This very much sounds like your IP address is geolocation resolving to somewhere that is on the sanctions list. You probably will need to have your internet service provider assign a different IP address to you.
I often work from remote locations, often requiring a VPN connection and have accessed and worked on my Etsy shop via VPN many times from many locations and have never had an issue.
I have the same problem with Sanction Policy, I am from Rivne too. I can't find any help or support. Do you decide this problem?
No, I still haven't received a response from customer support. The store is operating and sometimes even sells old items. But unfortunately, I can't fully manage it.
