Recrive possible fraud email.
Ŕeceived email thru etsy from someone who said they wanted to buy something. Gave email to send more pictures. Emailed back to say can only communicate thru etsy for security issueds. Said she was not at home but husband had her credit card. When I tried to reply thru etsy etsy says not valid etsy user. Also email sent by potential puyer no longer in etsy messages. Sent email to etsy at spoof@etsy.com as I did not know where to send. This is very weird.my question how were they able yo send message thru etsy if etsy says they are not a valid user on etsy.

Re: Recrive possible fraud email.
They may have been a guest with no Etsy profile. But keeping everything on Etsy was wise. I would put any other messages from that person into spam.

If they want to buy something they can order through your shop. It sounds like a scam to me. I would ignore any further messages from this person.

Re: Recrive possible fraud email.
They probably sent the same message to other sellers, some have marked them as spam, Etsy Support may have looked in to it that person's message activity and decided to delete their account.

Re: Recrive possible fraud email.
Her not being at home and her husband having the cc has zero to do with having to order off etsy. Sounds like the start of a scam Etsy quashed.

Re: Recrive possible fraud email.
Scam. Ignore or delete. Do not engage furher.
That "spoof" email does not--nor does any other email address for Etsy. They were done away with long ago. IT will simply go into a black hole.
