Strange one,
I have just received a delivery confirmation email for an order that I did not place. This was to my personal buyer Etsy account.
The actual buyer has the same name and delivery address as a buyer I sold to last week on my seller Etsy account.
Furthermore, after looking back and reviewing my orders in my shop the order from said buyer says that the buyer username was actually me (my personal buyers account), and not the username of the customer who purchased the item!?
I use completely different emails for my Buyer and Seller accounts so i'm quite confused as to what is happening.
Why am I receiving this users emails? and why have our usernames been switched in my order history?
Is this a glitch in the system? Hope somebody can help.
Cheers
Darren
You need to contact Etsy support.
That certainly sound like a glitch and a fairly disturbing one. Contact Etsy. ( thye don't generally answer or fix anything here..it is just sellers and forum admin who move or delete posts)
Great, thank you guys! I have reached out to Etsy support. Let's see what they find.
Sounds like a breach of the buyer’s privacy. Personally, I would let them know.
Reminds me of a glitch many years ago, when I landed into a total stranger’s Facebook account dashboard everytime I logged into Facebook. The account changed everytime I refreshed the page and I could see their notifications, private messages, everything. It lasted a week, which is pretty long for such a major glitch.
Wow. This is a strange one. Hope Etsy fixes this for you quickly.
