I did not reply to an ad message I received from a vendor (a vendor where I made a purchase)
It was an advertisement, so I didn’t reply.
My average message reply time was severely impacted, since I haven’t received many messages this month.
Now I’ll probably lose my Star Seller badge for August.
Can my message response time be corrected?
Thank you,
Tamara @ALittleHunnyBunny
I think if you go back and mark it as spam it won't count against you.
just mark that message as spam - that will remove the non/late response from your star seller metrics. I've seen it take a couple of days.
@ALittleHunnyBunny You have to mark spam as spam for it to not count against you for Star Seller. As the rules on your dashboard say, every initial message needs a reply or to be marked as spam.
@ALittleHunnyBunny: Probably almost everyone on this forum can sympathize with you but as it says right on your Star Seller page, you need to reply to the FIRST message of EVERY NEW INCOMING THREAD within 24 hours. It does not matter who sent it, the subject matter, if it is a duplicate or blank or anything else. If it is SPAM then it should be marked as such.
"an ad message I received from a vendor" Under Etsy's terms of service, that message would be a true SPAM message.
If an unanswered new thread is not a Help Request, at least for the time being, it appears that marking an unanswered message as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two if the original message was within the current star seller period (but not retroactively). Note that subsequent messages from that account may go directly to the SPAM folder.
Bonjour
Vou devriez mettre les messages automatiques que suggère ETSY, comme cela vous avez le temps de répondre aux messages et vous ne serez pas lésé sur le fait de ne pas répondre aux messages dans les délais
Patricia
There is nothing for Etsy to fix. Like others have said, either respond to the message or mark it as span, you did neither so you got dinged.
You could always reply with this info. Unsolicited messages are a big no no. Why should you have to lose your star seller status because of someone else not obeying the rules.
