Etsy has removed the processing time from the shipping profiles and to be blunt - this is HORRIFIC. I cannot express how bad of an idea this is... I have over 700 AD's - that all fit into specific shipping profiles with specific processing times within those profiles. I often have to change my processing times due to volume of orders - especially during prom.

So with this new "feature" I will be required to go into EACH INDIVIDUAL AD to edit the processing time??????

So this can not longer be done in bulk???

Or am I missing something???

This will be an absolute NIGHTMARE.

I was wondering why I was bombarded with orders yesterday and today. I decided to first look at what my estimated delivery date was in my private account for my shop's listings. Then I had a panic because the dates were WRONG. I looked at my processing profiles and NO WAY was the estimated delivery date reflecting what the processing profile was set as. I had to update ALL listings with the processing times (because I met my quota of orders) and created new shipping profiles and adding them to each listing. Well, now ALL listings DO NOT show estimated delivery time. Etsy help said this will be updated to show the  est delivery time tomorrow OR within 24-48 hours. They said other sellers still show estimated delivery time BECAUSE they are using old profiles. So I am going to be losing any revenue because they have a bug ? Why didn't they test this out better before they rolled out this processing profile ? OMG. I want to cry.

I've noticed that my shipping dates had changed too. I've always had 1 to 3, business days listed for all items. Now, it changed to 1 to 2 days.  I'll have to check & see if that applies to older listings too. Not cool!!

Sorry, didn't read this entire post but I am thinking that the following glitch happened because of these changes. Got an order last eve, and on my Orders Page, that one order says "No Estimated Ship Date" in the spot where normally it would say "Ship by [DATE]". I have two other orders, and those have the Ship by dates. I checked the listing for the order with no date, and it has a processing time of 1-2 days, and it has a shipping profile attached. Has anyone seen this since the Processing time changes?

Yes, there are bugs and issues everywhere! The new processing profiles are still not live. So although it may look like you've updated your processing profile, you'll find that they're not actually live. Some sellers are seeing EDD's based on their old shipping profiles, which they cannot change, some are seeing 'no estimated ship date' on their orders, some sellers have blank screens where the shipping/processing profiles should be. It's a complete mess

Ugh!! What fresh hell is this??

I've been super busy with non Etsy things this past week, so I'm just now seeing processing profiles. My eyes are swimming and I'm getting a headache trying to make sense of it! Thanks Etsy AI, super work! 

So... what do I do? Is this affecting my estimated shipping times? Do I ignore it?

In my shipping profiles, I'm not seeing the option to choose a processing time! Did they remove it completely from shipping profiles when they created these processing profiles? OMG WHY!

As a German store, I only ship within Germany.
German customers who want to buy something can't because they see: ...I don't ship to Germany...

@LaRenaissanceGirl Yes, you will need to set up processing times separately.  Because that makes SO much sense. 

One thing to know, you can't set up a processing profile with -0- listings.  So set up one profile connected to one listing, then move the others to it.  

You also can't give the processing profiles names.  This makes it harder if you hard processing times set by product, like we did.

@bradgoodell  It's insane! But I think I figured it out. I created a crazy long processing profile 4-6 weeks. Then I put all my expired, sold out and inactive listings in there. That zeroed out several redundant processing profiles that I was able to delete.

Then I went into each superfluous profile, checked the listings included and the edited to make an identical profile to one that was already listed. This zeroed out the profile I edited because those listings migrated over the twin profile and I was able to delete the superfluous one.

Did this about 10 more times and I now have processing profiles that exactly match the shipping profiles (except in name as you mentioned), plus the 4-6 weeks of not active listings profile.

And I only lost 40 minutes of my life doing this. 

Soooooo dumb.

@LaRenaissanceGirl  It took me 2 days trying to figure out what would work the best.  I need to be able to adjust processing times by product, so I had to create a bunch of new ones.  I had a bunch of ones Etsy set up with 1-2 expired listings in them, I didn't realize at first that if you give them the same processing time and they would merge.

@bradgoodell  I'm sorry you spent 2 days on this nonsense. What a time suck! Yes, I was relieve to discover that they merged when given the same exact processing time and type. I wish we could name them, then they would match my shipping profiles and I wouldn't have to think "okay, now which listings are these again? Oh, things I have to sew that are not already sewed." It's nuts.

@AmoreTreasure - yes, the design and rollout is a disaster!!  Not sure about anyone else but I still don't think its working correctly.  The dates shown to my customers are still incorrect and I don't see a way to have any control over them.  We're at the mercy of Etsy and as far as I can tell, they've gone silent.  The techs at chat support won't respond and I've seen no emails explaining any of this.  Even though Etsy promised it would be "live" 5/27 do we know when it will actually work properly?

No idea when it will be live but I suspect that they won't re-design this like it very obviously needs so it will never actually work properly.  (Even it they fix the bugs and it works as they designed it, it won't work like it should.)

I'm assuming the new profiles still aren't active as of this morning in the UK. All of mine still seem to be stuck on a processing timeframe I set before going away for a small break and do not reflect the processing profiles.

I am also still unable to delete the 15 or so redundant profiles which Etsy generated for sold out listings which now have no listings using them. I get a delete button, but this does not work and I get a red pop up saying "your changes cannot be saved". An absolute mess.

I am having the same problem, I need to up my processing time from my usual 1-3 working days to 3-5 working days as I am away celebrating my grandads birthday!

It’s a complete nightmare. Spoke to Etsy live chat they said this …. “Ella! Updates to processing times can take up to 7 days to reflect in estimated delivery dates.”

So I explained that it’s never taken 7 days before.

They then said this …. “No worries, Ella! we have a dedicated team for the issue you are sharing with me so for you I'm going to escalate it to the team so they will look in to this for you and resolve it as soon as possible!” 

This is so stressful I really hope to reverts back soon, has anyone received a notification of a new date it will be fixed by? Obviously the 27th May has passed now and it’s still not working.

Yes UK here and my shipping times are still 1-3 days which I had before. Tried to change them under the new system to 3-5 days. (Don't actually need the extended time anymore but want to leave it so I can see when it works!) Spoke with Etsy chat this morning who told me 'They have their best minds working to fix it' then they left the chat and didn't respond to my last message!

@OrangeUmbrellaCo I did think they were just telling me this to buy time until they fix the issue. Very worrying and frustrating for people needing to change timescales.

If we are overdue on orders, not only are we upsetting customers but it will also affect our Star seller status

Have been completely confused with what was happening with made-to-order orders being supposedly due the next day although I set it to 1-2 WEEKS to figure out it is a bug. What a joke this platform is. And they don't even bother to publicly speak to us. Good to see the ridiculous fees I pay for the privilege of being here are put to good use.

And then support tell you they've looked into it and clearing cache and cookies will fix it. They've had so many complaints and so many people on the forums talking about it and support just fob you off and act like there is no issue with Etsy and it's on our end.

If you've updated all the new processing profiles and it still hasn't seemed to take effect, try adding a completely new Shipping profile.  Assign your listings to this shipping profile, leaving the processing profiles as-is.  You won't be able to put any "days" on this new shipping profile, so it should pick up your processing profile days.  I tried this late yesterday and (fingers crossed), it looks like it may be a good workaround.   Good luck!

I still can't change processing times. It's not that big of a deal right now, but I've been slower lately and wanted to shorten my processing time hoping that would get some extra sales coming in. I'm also going out of town soon so I may need to change them. Are we just stuck with this?
