REI is not coming up in search

Searching for REI on Etsy brings up zero listings and it defaults to rey. 

Why there are plenty of REI items on Etsy

@wyogems  Yes, I'm aware. I have some REI clothes myself from my camping days. I was curious why you were looking on Etsy when you can shop directly through the company. Glancing at your shop, I assumed you wanted vintage and I just wondered if that was true. Because as I'm sure you know, reselling modern clothes is against Etsy policy. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Does that clear my question up for you?

It's an outdoor sporting store (camping, hiking, etc.), but much of their clothing and gear are also good for travel. They've been around awhile, so there is vintage REI.

I put REI in the search box and a lot of anime things like stickers appeared, along with a couple of recreational equipment related listings.  Tried rei and got the same results. 

Neither search changed the word to rey.

You have to go offline and search REI sweater Etsy, in order to bring up the listings. REI is a clothing brand

As a regular shopper at REI, I've never considered Etsy as a place to get something. Are you looking for like a vintage piece of camping gear?

REI has been making clothing for a long time. Since the 80s at least. It is vintage clothing

I also posted about how Etsy did not recognize and in a clothing brand Char and Sher, where is you type in Char and Sher

the clothing brand does not show up. It looks like they removed that post and I have no idea why. But if you type Char and Sher instead of Char & Sher the search brings up zilch. zero. 

Don't know what happened to that post, if some one replied I did not see it.

I searched the tech board and the whole board for posts by wyogems and it did not show me that. Not at all sure why.

Forums search is horrendous. Just go to your profile here in the Community forums. It will show you your prior posts

Look up top of the page on the left for your avatar and click it. You should get a drop down menu to select options. The first one is 'My profile'. Select that one.

There were a few REI sweaters and shirts showing up when I searched both ways a little while ago.  

Have you tried adding ''sweater'' to REI when searching on Etsy?  Quite a few appeared when I just now searched with 'rei sweater'.  Obviously, a simple 'rei' isn't enough since it's also related to Japanese anime characters.

My search for "REI" did not change the word.  I see some down booties that my dad bought in Berkeley the 70s!

Unfortunately they changed this to a peer to peer support forum years ago so it's mostly just us sellers trying our best to help each other out. Admin will occasionally pop in if it's a major site issue but that's about it.
