REGULAR CUSTOMER EMAILS SHOWING UP IN SPAM FOLDER

I have a had a few customer inquiries show up in my spam folder and not in my inbox..when i respond to them i get dinged on my star seller saying i did not respond within 24hrs...they are going directly to spam and not into my inbox..why is that? they are legitimate customer inquiries..

This seems to be happening to some sellers.  Contact Etsy and inform that the messages are going directly into your spam folder and are not entering the regular stream of messags for you to answer.

It has been happening to me too and because I replied to the messages outside of the 24 hour limit since I didn't realise those regular customer convos were in my spam folder, I have been dinged for Speedy reply badge and in turn have lost my star seller for April. My shop has been in good standing but now through a glitch on Etsy's end, I have lost my star seller status.  Very disappointed.

Re: REGULAR CUSTOMER EMAILS SHOWING UP IN SPAM FOLDER

Because for months people kept saying that Etsy needed to weed out the spam messages since (mainly new) shops weren't savvy enough to recognize they were spam and no one wanted to listen that Etsy isn't good with programming for things like this and it would just create bigger problems. So true to Etsy fashion, they implemented a new system, didn't give people any head's up (at least I haven't seen any notice of them admitting they were starting this process) that they would be starting to automatically move some messages into spam and to check that folder while they worked out any kinks, and instead just let the poor programming fly.
