Questionable message

Hello, here is a new form of phishing, I received an email with the text below. The address it comes from is not Etsy. I don't know where they got my email from!!! It can be seen that they are among us and analyze our posts and comments. Then they target exactly those who have a problem because they think they are easier to placate. Be careful!

Pretty sure that's a genuine etsy survey email.

Etsy would have your email as part of your shop, so...

 I don't think so, the source email header is not from Etsy.

etsy is making it more difficult to send phishing messages from etsy,

they are removing more accounts, and they have started to take away the facility for people to create messages from messages, to spam or phish

so now they are finding another way

....

I have the same message... not opened it.  I'm sure something like this would come through Etsy not directly through an email.

etsy surveys always come through email.

I have one in my etsy messages that promises a $25 gift card for completing the survey.

@TheGiftedGrackle  are you seeing the "from etsy" bar under the message, and does it show under the "from etsy" section in the message menu, viewable on desktop?

If so, then it's legit.  If not, spam it.

@PillowDetails It does in fact have a little orange badge saying "from Etsy" which I did not notice before. I have not viewed it from my desktop so I am not sure which section it appears under.

@TheGiftedGrackle Scammer/spammers do try to imitate the Etsy logo.  Do not do anything until you check on a browser to see if it's actually in the ''from Etsy'' folder.

Etsy forum mods have in the past chimed on a/the post about this type of query. Confirming or denying that it is a legit survey.  Etsy does surveys often, but is often difficult to tell if it's legit, or otherwise.

Perhaps a moderator could speak to this (one)?

For the one being offered the $25, Etsy already has your bank info, so if it is from Etsy they can do it. You do not have to give it to anyone.
