Quantity available changed to 999 in stock???

I regularly go to my last active listing just before it expires to rework the title & description.  That's when I noticed the last 4 of my active listings had quantities of 999, and another listing had a quantity of 2997.  The 999 listings should have a quantity of 1, and 2997 should have a quantity of 4. 

This may be an anomaly exclusive to my shop or not.  I just thought I'd mention it so folks could check the quantities of their oldest listings that are ready to expire or auto renew and make sure they are correct.

That's odd  - especially since you can't enter 4 digits when you list an item - 999 is the max.

@PillowDetails That's what I thought.  After looking closer at the listings, I see they were all supposed to auto-renew yesterday.  They didn't seem to do it, and I'm wondering if the auto-renewal (or the failure thereof) was what made these numbers pop up.   Four of the listings were for mittens, so I went ahead and made them manual renewal for now. I'll handle the quantity in September when I renew these for winter.

Is there any chance you have a website integrated with Etsy?  I ask because I recently made changes to my website.  When assigning a different domain name I had to update my Etsy link.  I connect these so I can manage various sites in one space on my website dashboard.  After doing so I noticed there was some slight Etsy item changes when I reconnected which I had to go back and edit.  That was unexpected and it hadn't happened the last time I did a connection.  

If this isn't relevant, it may be a temporary glitch caused from an Etsy change to their system.  There is a lot of changes happening with AI and search systems.  It's possible Etsy is making more changes than normal right now too?

I think you might be right, @NancyQstudio .  I have an app linking my Etsy, eBay, and website to keep up with quantities/sales.  I recently needed to change the company that handled this for me, and this glitch may have happened at about the same time.  I probably didn't notice it for a couple of weeks since the quantity wasn't changed on every listing.
