Publish button not working on new listing form, works on the older version! Fails with new browser.

I am worried as the older listing format is being removed shortly as Etsy has not fixed the current bugs in the new listing form. My issue with the new listings form is that I can populate the listing form as normal but when I press the Publish button it goes grey and shows the cycling arrow but never makes any progress, after a long time it responds with the red banner warning of an error and that I should try later! Sometimes on a new listing it will publish it, but if I dare to make an edit then the above will happen.

The old form works fine even with edits, this has been reported by me many times for many months. My AV has been disabled and any ad blocker as well as add-ons software disabled, I installed Google Chrome browser with no predefined settings and it is replicating this issue. If I cannot get this corrected on any of my platforms, I will have to close the doors and go elsewhere, it is not that I am not technically savvy as I am well versed with I.T. but I believe this not to be on my side, can anyone advise me on this?

I have no problem publishing with the new listing format.  What device are you using?  Are all fields filled in?  If not you cannot publish.  The button graying out and circling could be your computer software and hardware meeting a new form of input.  So it could actually be your operating system having an issue with the format. 

The only bug I know of in the new is the lack of translation ability.

Running a fully updated Win 11 Firefox and Chrome browsers and yes forms fully filled in. Not sure how or what could be wrong with the OS when I was happily using the old listing format for over 100 listings. It has been ongoing for some while, but I cannot pinpoint what it could be.

@Puddingspresents This is a problem on Etsy's side.  Please report it?  They are currently working on this tool now.  I've had the problem along with other Etsy sellers.  Etsy was able to fix the error when I reported it to them.

Everyone and their dog's 2nd cousin twice removed knows that Etsy has addressed your concerns and you love, love, love the new listing form, so please stop being so patronizing, condescending and dismissive of fellow seller's real concerns and problems.  

If you have something constructive to impart, wonderful, but the hype is unnecessary, insensitive bull crap.

I agree, and I am currently speaking with an agent for the maybe tenth time to resolve the issue.

It seems to be Etsy's way.

Bring something out no one asked for, take "some" feedback.

Make just a few changes then push it out as mandatory, bugs and all.

Ignore everyone's continued complaints.

This is what I get from an agent! I give up.

"Yes, I appreciate you letting us know about this. We’re working on ways to make it easier and more intuitive for you to create listings, and this is the first version of the design we hope to roll out fully in the future. We’ll continue to add more features to this version as the year goes on, but in the meantime, you can always toggle over to the old listing process at the top right-hand side of the page". What happens in June when it is removed, I am left without the ability to edit or list.

@Puddingspresents Have you tried a different browser ... Edge works great ... Google is getting more & more glitchy!  Is your browser up to date, does your computer have the latest updates, including security?  Have you tried clearing the cache & rebooting?

Yes, I installed chrome as a fresh installation with no adjustments, I will also try Edge to see if it works for me.

I was having this same problem for months.  I did try using different browsers and devices along with updating software before determining it is an error on Etsy's side.  This is an existing problem with the new listing tool which some shop owners are currently experiencing and have shared.  It seems to be an intermittent problem which does not impact all shops.

I have had this happen too. I noticed that you have to make you to click on the return policy, even though it's there, it seems like you still have to click it first then hit post.

Same here - this keeps happening in the new listing form: it won't save my changes. When prompt reads: Are you sure you want to leave? I then lose all my changes. I can save in the old listing form, but when that goes away, what happens? Etsy: please fix!

I have similar problems and new form requires much more time. I don't need to answer Etsy quesipns as I am listing and cannot see the shipping estimate either. New form is not streamlined.

Hi, The new add listing format is a disaster for me. It will double my time to add tags to new items. I use the copy and paste tecnique to add to and repeat(mix and match) the tag and materials. this new format does not allow this feature!  It does not save me time to describe a listing.. it is a disaster for me as each listing is different and unique so i cant keep an archive to copy and paste into Tags and Materials..

Also in regards to losing listing (leave the page) which began to happen a lot. I save my listing in draft by adding the required bare minium of short descriptions to save , so all dosen't disappear... it is exhausting lately .

Well I found a way to edit listings as in I can use my android phone and log in as normal on the phone to do the edits, but I am not willing to use the phone to list as that would be a headache. Still no solution as to what I can do to this PC in order to work with the edit listings feature, I would agree that it was on my side if others on here had not confirmed the issues. Time to move platforms, as I think my patience has been pushed, plus I am not selling that much on here to be honest as the Etsy algorithm does not favour my style of shop as the visiting numbers have dropped substantially. Thank you for all the input.
