Product Settings Handmade

Jump to solution

I have set in the settings that the product was made by another person/company (i have a productionpartner (printify)). Nevertheless, on the product page in my shop, it still says 'handmade.' Will this be updated later or is it a bug?

If you designed the product that Printify is producing and mailing, then it's handmade by you, not Printify.

thanks for the quick response

i just followed a step by step guide on the printify site , which says

Products sold on Etsy can be either:

  • Handmade – made entirely by the seller
  • Handmade with production assistance – designed by the seller, but produced by another company (or person)  i picked this one but on the article site i just says handmade

If you’re using Printify, you should indicate that your products are “handmade with production assistance”.

Hopefully YOU are designing the images you are sending to the POD, otherwise they do not qualify to be sold on Etsy.

You are supposed to "Handmake" those designs - that's the "Handmade" part.

Your POD is in the USA, which means the products ship from there ... so why do your listings say they ship from Germany?  Your shipping fees are way too much for USA rates!

Hey, because printify is located in the US but the print provider is working in Germany.

And another question, I want to only sell in Germany. Because my print provider is settled there and I can guaranty short delivery.

How can I set it up so customer can see that I only deliver in Germany

@SigmaPads Click the trash can next  to 'everywhere else' when setting your shipping.

I have products that are completely handmade by me - from the cutting of the branches, prepping the wood, hand burning and painting the art onto the wood slices, that are classified as 'designed by' on the listings - it's awful - years of hard work totally disregarded and there's nothing I can do.
