Product Photos no longer searchable via folders

Since the recent changes to the website, I've discovered that I'm no longer able to search for my product photos by folder. This is a HUGE problem and will prevent me from being able to continue to add items to my shop. I've been a vintage seller on Etsy for seven years and have a huge jewelry inventory. I organize my product photos in folders on my mac and use those folders when I upload images to my shop. Now with the update, I can no longer see those folders when I attempt to upload images for a listing.  Is anyone else having this problem?

The time it takes to search through literally thousands and thousands of photos is just not a practical use of my time given I sell one-of-a-kind items. I fear I'm going to have to close my shop. I can't afford to retake photos or spend 20 minutes searching for photos for a single item. Please help.

I am on a Mac and don't see anything different with how photos are uploaded. Are you missing the sidebar? If so, you can click the 3 lines and check Show Sidebar.

I use a Mac too and have not noticed a problem uploading images. I suspect the issue is nothing to do with Etsy and is a problem with your Mac itself. The first thing I do is close the app and reopen it. If that doesn't work I restart the entire machine. Otherwise try Googling the issue and see if you can find some advice to fix it on your computer.

@FringeVintageShoppe: This sounds more like an issue with the file explorer on your device rather than an issue with Etsy.

"I can't afford to retake photos ..." Are you able to find your photos directly on your device?

Re: Product Photos no longer searchable via folders

This did not happen until the update. Yes, I am able to find my photos after a long long search, but my point is that without being able to see my photo albums, I have to search through thousands of images to find the ones I need. I sell vintage jewelry and take probably a dozen photos of every item and have more than a thousand pieces of inventory. Plus, my personal photos and my other work photos. Without the ability to reach into organized folders/albums, it’s just not cost effective. Time is money.

This is not due to Etsy's update.

@VintageX2: There were reports some time back that after an iOS update, browsing folders through web (and app) based uploads was broken, even on desktops - it was apparently an incompatibility Apple caused. Perhaps what you are experiencing is something similar.

Can someone tell me what this Etsy 'update' is please? Do you mean the new listing form? You can switch back to the old one for the time being.
