Hello, for 2 or 3 weeks I couldn't have orders as much as before and happily one of my customer texted that they are not able to click on proceed to checkout and it is full grey, I tried it with the buyer account of my grandparents and it was not able too, I texted to ETSY support, a supporter told me that I will receive an e-mail in 48h but it has been weeks and I still didn't receive an e-mail, I am texting for 5th time but they keep ignoring me with that, I can't get support call me because I am not living in call supported countries. I don't know what to do and going to bankruptcy because can't get orders with my best seller product and keep paying ads out of my pocket. Are there anyone experiencing the same?
Two of my customers let me know they had issues this past weekend. Who knows how many tried and didn’t contact me.
Did you ask the buyer if they were using an old version of the app? Were they using their phone? That can sometimes be an issue depending on phone set up.
I was able to add to cart and nothing was greyed out.
A few said there were issues this past weekend but how widespread unknown. Doubtful it was many because the forums would be humming with seller complaints if that was the case.
Also were you using your computer/phone when trying the account? Not a good idea. Etsy does know it is you due to the MAC address. They would consider that shilling. Be glad it didn't go through.
Hello, I had another one customer who wanted to buy and we had the same problem. I tried it with my phone because my customer said so and I needed to check it, what else could I do after days of waiting Etsy support? They are able to buy on computer, but most of my customer doesn't have access to a computer. So I was opening a custom order for making the sale but this time it also didn't work out. I don't know what to do and started to pay the ads out of my pocket for days, started losing money on it. This seems like will be my bankruptcy if it keeps happening for this month.
I would turn off the ads until you can figure out what is going on. Getting more customers who can't checkout is doing nothing but putting you into a deeper hole faster. If you have gotten replies from Etsy, take the most recent one, reply to it by scrolling to the bottom of the message and tell them you need more help. Keep replying to the same email that you need more help until someone actually replies and understands the problem. When someone contacts you and says they can't order, tell them to contact Etsy because they tend to listen to buyers before they ever answer sellers. And ask lots of questions like are they on a phone, if so which one, is this limited to your shop or can't they buy from anyone. Are they using the app and if so, how old is it. Every little bit of information helps.
I would have been able to make a purchase, but as an aside, I will not buy from sellers who are infringing.
Me either. Mickey and Minnie inspired safaris?
I had a customer message me this morning to say that their orders keep getting canceled by Etsy. I have also noticed a large number of orders showing briefly on my dashboard on the app and then disappearing. I'm not sure what is going on.
I just turned off the ads, still texting Etsy support and mailing, I also made a big discount. I will be waiting to see if there will be any solution if anyone answers me.
@MunchariKidsDesign: It is almost impossible for your fellow sellers to be sure why Etsy has taken a specific action, but there are many reports in this forum which imply that shops which violate the rules are being negatively affected in search.
For example, "inspired" is not a valid defense against intellectual property (IP) infringement. At the very least, you are using someone else's trademarks to market your products. If you do not have a license the IP owner may feel it is theft of their property, particularly since you are not even acknowledging the trademarks via proper attribution.
If you do have license(s), you need to include the licensing information for all of the trademarked and copyrighted names and images in your shop in your listing, otherwise buyers (and Etsy) may conclude they are counterfeits.
If you have not already done so, you may want to discuss your business plan with a qualified intellectual property attorney.
Your shop is full of infringements. You’ve titled listings with Mickey Mouse when the item has nothing to do with Mickey. I would remove all references to Disney characters before drawing Etsy’s attention to it.
