I've been with Etsy for years with never a problem. Starting a month ago something new seems pop up every few days.
I have over a thousand listings.
First the photos - changing the format crops printing off in my lead photos, sometimes in mid-word. It looks very unprofessional. It will take at least two weeks to re-shoot everything. I really have better things to do with my time than do the same work over. thanks a bunch
Now, titles - On my laptop they display completely differently between chrome and fire fox browsers. The fire fox presentation is crazy. The title is below the first photo. Clicking on anything but the arrow to shift from one photo to the next brings up a screen with small un-clickable photos that cover the screen. They won't move from one to the next using the direction arrow, un-clickable. You have to click on what screen is left to break out (escape doesn't work). If you want to see the third photo, you have to click the direction arrow once to get to the video, again to get to photo two, and again to get to photo three. If I'm a customer, I've already left.
In fire fox, instead of a drop down box to jump to another page you get the page numbers 1 thru 10 (good so far); but each one is on a separate line. Like hitting enter after each page number. If I'm a customer, I might not be coming back to Etsy at all.
Today, all of my titles are truncated. I use dash marks in my titles. Any thing after the first dash mark is missing. Critical information to potential buyers - gone. So, dramatically fewer clicks. So it looks like I have to re-do every title now. I've been working on the photos, now I have to re-visit those pages to fix the titles. So add another day's work.
Is there somebody new in IT that's coming up with these brilliant ideas? Something's gone wrong. I'll wait a bit to see if things straighten out, but, I may have to re-consider my relationship with Etsy. This is costing me business. I can't wait too long.
