Problems renewing sold-out listings with NEW listing form

Hey Etsy, I'm forcing myself to use your newfangled listing form. I lost a listing yesterday that I tried to renew from a sold out listing (it just poofed and the listing I started from was gone from my sold out listings too!). I'm hoping the same thing doesn't happen today (today I'm getting a message in a red box that drops down from the top of the screen; it says "Hm. We're having trouble saving your changes ...". I'm using the latest version of Chrome on Win 10.

I NEVER had trouble relisting sold-out items with the "old" listing form. So what's going on? Why is relisting a sold out item so challenging with the new listing form???

ETA: I just tried relisting a different sold out listing and it gave me the same red warning box. ARGH!!!

Check and make sure there is a quantity.  For me the quantity kept reverting to 0 so it wouldn't let me list.  If it finally works make sure the renewal date is correct.  It keeps thinking my renewal date is August 10 instead of the beginning of October.

THIS ^^^ ... I tried renewing a sold-out listing yesterday and the QTY kept reverting to zero ... then when it did finally publish, it gave a renewal date of June 25!  That is only 20-days, not 4-months!! The ONLY way I could get the listing to correctly publish was to COPY the listing and then relist it.  Oy vey this new form is causing more headaches than a bottle of Advil can cure!

There wasn't a quantity but, even after I added that, the listing still wouldn't publish.

You can copy the sold-out listing, make a few changes if needed, don't forget to change shipping if needed, and publish. I do it this way and it works.

Previous sales are tied to each item. I do NOT recommend doing this if you want to retain the sales history,

yes, this will also decrease this item's ranking status, as ranking has a lot to do with previous sales and reviews on sold items.

Same problem here, i can't relist sold items. 
Usually i replace the pictures and simply put it back on.

Now it gives me a red warning message.

I can relist in the old listing form though, but these will be gone this month.

I'm getting the same red box!  Hm, we’re having trouble saving your changes. Try again, and if this keeps happening contact Etsy Support.

Switch to the old form and you will be able to renew. Hopefully they will fix this technical issue before the old form is gone on the 25th.

Check back on your Shipping and be sure you have a Shipping Choice i.e. Priority, Ground Advantage. etc.  All of mine with the red banner had that space blank and as soon as I chose one I was able to publish.  Hope this helps.

I had this problem with an inactive listing and kept at it trying to list using the new format.  When it finally went thru, I was charged twice for renewing 1 listing so check your finance page.

It's getting kind of hilarious. Is there anything here that does work the way it should? I've never ever been on a site with this many glitches all the time!

@PrairiePrimitives  I thought I read where you can Renew Sold from the Sold Orders Page (the gear icon next to the thumbnail). And I hope to h--- this works. Listings shouldn't be going poof, and many Sellers are still having trouble with the New Listing Form, at such a late date.

@ChillwolfArt - This is how I do my renewals. I haven't been keeping score, but I feel like sometimes it opens the listing in the new listing form and sometimes in the "old" one.

I'm having the same problem too!  I hope Etsy aren't going to pull all old style listings leaving shops to have to recreate listings in the new format when they sell out!  Etsy please advise!

I have not been able to relist / renew sold out listings in the past week, using the new listing form.  I get the red oops warning like others have posted.  The only thing that works for me is to use the grey gear icon to renew from the Sold out section of the Listings Manager page - then edit once it's renewed.  I've seen other posts where Sellers were able to renew on the app.  I think I saw a post where Etsy Staff said they were aware of the issue, and were trying to fix.
