Problem with full legal name verification.

Hi! i have a big problem, why arent etsy verifying my full legal name, i accidently entered my name with a mistake, it says that its going to take 48 hours for etsy to verify my id. It has been like 2 weeks, no updates and i cant change it. Because of this i cant get my funds transfered to my bank account. What do i need to do?

If you made an error entering your name in your shop, bank account or your documents have an error then Etsy cannot verify your name.  It could be they are trying to verify.  I suggest you contact Etsy and tell them what the error is and ask them to correct the mistake.  It is important for all forms of name to match.   

Also to get funds your bank account needs to be verified with one or two small deposits Etsy makes to your bank.  Those small deposits have to be input into the bank area of the shop payment account.

Before i tried to change my full legal name, everything was okay, everything matched, i dont know why i tried to change it. Now It says that it is going to verify it in 48 hours, it has been more than 4 days. 

I contacted etsy support, they told me i just need to wait.

What sort of mistake did you make?  I don't think I have ever heard of anyone getting their own name wrong before!

The same happened to me, i born in 2001 and i made 2002 By mistake ..now my shop its in holiday already 4 days waiting for verification. :((

Same im waiting past 3 weeks to be verfied iv spoken to etsy past 3 weeks keep telling me etsy trust and safety will be in touch but still nothing 

my brother helped me set up etsy back in 2019 and instead of putting my legal name he put his but rest of the details are mine my bank account adress everything just the legal first name is wrong and iv requested to change this now they want to verify, iv sent all the documents id still nothing 

my moneys being held aswel what can i do please help ??

I’m having the exact same issue! I’ve tried uploading my passport, driving licence, marriage certificate and still they are not verifying me! 
My funds are being held back too. 

Has anyone had a solution to this? 
i don’t want my account to be put on holiday mode/suspended

Oh really? They’ve never been an issue before, it’s only become an issue when they wanted me to verify my name etc ok I shall try that and give that a go
