Firstly Delivery "OTHER" won't let me list my delivery of large furniture items which I deliver myself, or some use a self employed courier, you cannot list under any of the other selections all *postage* for smalls.
Secondly surely Etsy could expand it's sub categories, furniture categories are so vague & lacking,
Thirdly 10 photo's
Etsy please take us into the 21st Century.
Unfortunately,I don't believe Etsy has incorporated the necessary provisions for "Local Delivery"
Just reactivated my profile after a 6 month break to protest etsy's recent behaviour. I'm in exactly the same position, I sell furniture and etsy seems to think i can post this via Royal Mail next day delivery!!!! This is often large fragile stuff which people like parcel force wouldn't be able to post, id probably need to put this on a pallet and charge the buyer around £300. Secondly the maximum delivery time is 4 days!!!! I've had buyers take 4 days to get back to me to arrange delivery. I can't just travel 300 miles with a table and rock up at someones house hoping that they're home and if they're not just drive 300 miles back with the delivery. I've also sold large fragile items to the US, does this mean etsy are going to start putting me on some list and start witholding my funds, expecting me to pay for deliveries?
Have they learned anything at all since the backlash or have they got worse?
Why can't etsy differentiate between someone selling a tote bag and someone selling a large dining table? I cant just pop into the post office with a 4 seater dining table. My customers were really happy with my personalised delivery where the items were delivered straight from my house to theirs at a time that was conveinient for them.
Etsy was not set up for furniture and large item sales. It was set up for items that can be sent thru the mail. It has certainly gotten off the path it started out on.
I hear what you're saying, I've not had any issues in the past 8 years but it's one of those things i guess. Back to the drawing board.
