Possible Scam Alert

I just received this message and I think it is a scam! This person had an Etsy Badge but when I asked his/her name just kept repeating the same answer.

Your store's order handling system is currently paused. To reactivate and view new customer orders, kindly share your email via chat. A notification for simple verification will be sent to you shortly.

Best Wishes, Etsy Support

Your mаil is in the database and I am writing you here to tell it to me in order for you to be re-verified.

I highly doubt Etsy Admin would send such a message!

It is a known SCAM. Legit messages from etsy will appear in the "from etsy" section of your inbox. 

Mark this one as spam and ignore it.

This is a known scam and has been filling the forums for the past several months.

There is an orange box in messages about spotting scams.

Etsy also has a spot now in messages that will hold only messages actually from Etsy.  If not listed there, it is a fake message from Etsy.

Hi, As others have said, this is not from Etsy Staff/Support; it's a scammer.  I'm sorry you were targeted and glad you did not engage with them. Mark as Spam, just so you don't get dinged for Star Seller.  When you receive a TRUE Order, it will appear in the "Orders & Shipping" Page, in your Shop Dashboard.
