I keep getting a pop up reminding me to buy a pair of earrings, irritating as this is, the bigger issue is - the item is one of my own items, it is not in my cart and it is not even listed for sale as it is sold. How do I get this really frustrating pop up to stop coming up over and over?
@LadybumbleVintage You'll have to contact Etsy support to help you. Sounds like a glitch that only they can fix. They'll probably ask you to clear your browser, cache and cookies. Is it a sold out listing you can delete?
If it’s sold out, maybe try deleting it from the sold out section on the listings page? If you plan to reproduce the earrings, in the future you can always copy and save the listing as a draft first. It works for me when shoppers repeatedly view and/or favorite my sold out listings, so perhaps it’ll work for you, too. Freakin’ Etsy glitches!
Thanks I will try that.
It must be awful being a shopper constantly getting those pop ups. I would refuse to buy anything!!
It worked. Thanks !
and now it is back again... I give up...
@LadybumbleVintage @Yay! I’m glad it worked out : )
@LadybumbleVintage @Sorry : (. I hope someone else comes along with another suggestion.
I have seen that when you use a new non-logged in browser session to view your site, add to the cart, then open a session again on the same browser.
Heck, I've even seen when doing this to view my site privately, that adding an item to the cart caused an immediate popup offering a discount on the just-added item when it was supposed to be an abandoned cart offer -- abandoned as in more than 15 seconds after adding it. Like 24 hours.
I nuked those offers. Wish I could only target them to one or two particular countries.
anyone have any ideas?
Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data > Close browser > reboot > open and see if it's gone.
Sounds like something is stuck in your internet cache. Deleting cookies and browse data could restore functionality, at the price of needing to re-log into web sites for the cookies you normally have saving your login between sessions.
Hope that made sense.
tried all that. I think I may just be stuck with it for eternity. Thanks though!
