Photo linking keeps shutting itself off

Hi,

Just wanted to report that my photo linking option in Variations keeps switching itself off. I've edited the same listings multiple times and tested them to make sure the photo linking is working, only to have orders come in showing the main thumbnail photo. When I go back into the listing, I find that the photo link option has turned itself off again. Just wanted to bring the glitch to your attention. Thanks!

Dear Etsy,

I'm bumping this up because it happened again. After I posted here a week ago I edited every listing on page 1 of my shop again, to make sure photo linking in variations was working. I tested them and all looked great. Today the photo linking is off again. Please help!

Its been happening for a long time it seems. Mine seem so random when it does it, but I saw this post recently, I haven't tested it out to see if that's what could be causing it but maybe its helpful: https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Adjusting-photos-breaks-link-to-variations/m-p/148677... Did you adjust your photos at all after linking them last?

Mine keep unlinking too. Not all the photos, but one or two options will suddenly unlink from their photo. It's frustrating!

Yup it’s happening to me too. I have just started using Vela to bulk edit photos, so I figured it was a Vela glitch (it may well be also) - I observed that changing even a single, unlinked, photo using Vela caused ALL the photo links in those listings to break/disappear.

So I stopped using Vela and started editing my listings manually again - nightmare - but am finding now that when I later come back to the edited listings for other reasons random photo links have since broken (although not all of them on a listing like when I was using Vela). Very annoying and unpredictable.
