I am new to Etsy, I have been messaged regarding a sale and it is asking me to fill out all my card details including cvc to receive payment?
the link takes you away from the Etsy site?
Is this standard for first sale, Etsy support is saying it is - help I'm confused!
thank you
Hello,
These messages do not come from Etsy. Please flag them as spam and do not click any suspicious links.

PS: We've already taken action on both accounts that messaged you attempting to impersonate Etsy admin.
@MadebyStacyAnn NO - this is a scam, preying on new shops. You have no sale showing in your shop, and you should mark messages like this as Spam on Etsy. Do not give out any personal financial information - others have been taken for thousands following this scam, and your bank will not refund, because you gave your info to the scammer, and Etsy will not refund, since you took it outside of Etsy.
Very devious, and ever-changing in their variations on this scam. Only legit messages from Etsy will be in the "From Etsy" section in your Messages.
If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.

thank you!
I've had 2 more from buyers asking for email address and phone number then sending me links - what is the exact procedure if I sell something, Etsy technical support said I had to put my full card details in to accept the payment and have at least £200 in my account? this is because it's a first sale.
what actually happens if I sell something?
thank you for your help
