Paused Account - Business Account Verification Issue, Switched Back to Individual

On 6/2/25, I attempted to switch my Etsy account from Individual to Business for the second time. Despite entering all information correctly, Etsy was unable to verify my details, and my shop was paused.

To avoid further disruption, I switched my account back to Individual, which was immediately verified. However, my shop remains in vacation mode.

At the time, I had two pending orders but both have since been fulfilled and shipped.

I reached out to support and received a response from Autumn last night confirming that my issue appears resolved on their end. Still, my shop is paused, and I suspect it may be stuck in a verification state.

For context, I operate as a single-member LLC so operating as an individual account will work for me.

Any insight or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I'm concerned this could drag on for weeks, as I've seen happen to others here. I just need clarity on what steps I should take to get my shop active again.

Has anyone else had this issue? Should I switch it back to business and wait for a review for that? I'm thinking I'm stuck somewhere on the backend.

Everything I check says approved. Just need to know if there's anything else I can do.

Is there anyway I can just cancel the business account verification and go back to an individual account? I assume this is why it's paused but i can't get an answer from anyone on what I need to do.

I am so sorry you are having this issue. Unfortunately, Etsy does not allow users to switch directly from a business account to an individual account. You will need to create a new individual account and manually transfer your listings and information if necessary. You have 2 options:

1.  Continue using the business account.

2.  Create a new individual account and manually transfer the listings.

Hm, that would make sense, but I've never actually been approved for a business account.

I'm fine with keeping a business account. Hopefully I'm just in queue to be reviewed.

Same problem here since 6 days ! I have just created my shop on the 24th of may and got my first sale in less than 6 days. then etsy asked me for a file to confirm my business acount and I have been waiting for their confirmation since one week and they paused my store. Etsy is a big part of my strategy, I have sent them emails but they do not answer. I don't know why they do this. I have paid for an application from my shopify to my etsy store, and now I  m just doing nothing, waiting for them to confirm, it's really weird, it seems like there is no human behind those emails
