I'm at my dashboard for my Pattern site (https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/me/pattern/home). After clicking "Marketing" on the left, it says I can "setup a custom email address". I want to set up a custom email address for my Pattern site, so then it will forward those emails to my other email address. I entered in the custom email address under "Email Alias" and then I entered my actual email address under "Forward It To". I then clicked "Done". Then the wheels are turning, as if it's being saved, but then nothing happens and all I see again is "setup a custom email address". I tried doing this several times but each time nothing happens. How can I set up a custom email address? I don't see any other way to do it....Should I log out and log back in or something? I tried refreshing the page, but that didn't help. I clicked on "Pattern Help" to get support, but the link just takes me to a page that says "uh oh" this page doesn't exist. So I can't figure out how to contact pattern support another way, and this forum is the only other option I think I have for support because when I ask Etsy support, they say to contact Pattern Support....which doesn't seem to exist. This is very frustrating since I have other questions about my Pattern settings and no one is there to help. It seems like Etsy shut down Pattern Support and are maybe getting ready to get rid of Pattern altogether...otherwise the service would be better.
@ShadowGalleryShop: "It seems like Etsy shut down Pattern Support ..." Based on other posts in this forum, you may be correct. Many Pattern users seem to feel abandoned.
Sometimes Etsy forms are less than intuitive and have feedback to the user that is lacking. Have you tried sending a test eMail to your Pattern address and see if it is being forwarded or bounced or ... ?
Great Idea! I emailed the custom email address just now. I haven't recieved an email to the forwarding email address and I haven't recieved a message saying the address doesn't exist. maybe it takes time to get a bounce back/forwwarded email?
@ShadowGalleryShop - have you tried using whatever email address you want for Pattern, and then use the redirect function in your email account to send any incoming mail to your main email address.
I have gmail....how do I find the redirect function?
@ShadowGalleryShop: The custom eMail address "function" is Pattern is very limited. The biggest caveat is "This feature is only available to sellers who have registered a domain through Pattern." https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360000343468?segment=selling#h2
If you did not register your domain through Pattern, the Gmail redirect instructions are at https://support.google.com/mail/answer/10957?hl=en
Strange, because i registered my domain through pattern...so it should work. right?
According to Help, yes, it should. But also looking at Help, all of their questions are answered with "we know there is an issue with X, we're working on it".
But I could get to Pattern Help from the link at the bottom, so I'm not sure about your issue there. I've heard that depending on who you get, you might or might not get help.

I'm currently having the same issue. I registered my domain with pattern, I enter my new domain-specific email address, enter an existing forwarding address, and nothing changes/updates. Did you have any luck?
Thank you for those links...I will check them out. But, what do you mean by "I could get Pattern Help from the link and the bottom". The link at the bottom of what?
When I click on this link, then click on the "I still need help" at the bottom, it leads me to an email address link.
I think the person who responded to you initially gave you bad info. I don't know of any dedicated Pattern support.
I guess I could try again and hope that the person I get can actually help or at least provide an explanation why this is happening.
I'm having the same exact problem with setting up a custom email on my pattern site.... I never get any test emails but dont get an error message either.... when I click "I still need help" it says "oops, Page does not exist"...
Same issue, can't create the email...wheels just spin and nothing happens.
I am having the same issue, but an even bigger issue is I save my Mailchimp list to this pattern email account, and now I am locked out of my Mailchimp, and may never be able to get my list back. This is beyond stupid. If you aren't going to help, or if the function doesn't work, or if you are receiving a lot of complaints shut it down. That way you don't end up with people who enjoy pattern but hate a feature that they need.
AMEN! I'm having the exact same problem. Whoever is in charge of this should be fired!
Has anyone been able to get this to work successfully yet?
I can't believe no one from Etsy has chimed in to offer a fix! I'm having same problem. Why are you offering this is a feature when it clearly doesn't work. Take it down!
These forums are for sellers. Etsy rarely chimes in on anything. Have you contacted them directly?
One and half year later after your post - the Pattern support, emails...still ongoing issue. Nothing changed since.
Yes, aside from collecting subscription payments for Pattern sites, I’ve come to realize that Etsy has abandoned Pattern…Or, at the very least, doesn’t make any more improvements or provide customer support. It is shameful that they make profit from it but pretend like it doesn’t exist. They don’t even allow product videos, which should be pretty basic to make available.
Exact same issue for me. I contacted them and they said to try different browser I did all they asked and then they said it is a know issue and that they were looking into it, which seeing it has been happening for a year now I don't think they're doing much about it. Very disappointed paying and having only half the features. I do wonder if having by web mady anywhere else would have been better as pattern works so badly and has so many issues/bugs.
