Package shipped with tracking but order is still under New

I have an order that I shipped with tracking via Pirateship. The tracking updated via etsy in the order and is showing on the order correctly. But the order is still under my New orders. I tried to update the tracking in etsy but I get an error that the tracking has already been used (obviously as it is being used with this package?!?!?) .  Anyone have a clue on how to get this order moved to my completed orders?

@fabricfetish use the circle/arrow icon on the order to mark as completed,  then enter the tracking there.

@PillowDetails @NanaLetha  That is what I tried. But I get an error that says the tracking is already being used.

I have had this happen numerous times--in fact almost every time I use PS to mail.

I hope I can explain so this makes sense. What I found works is this:

Go to the link where you manually enter the tracking, Where you see the dropdown that says USPS as the shipping service. delete and then reenter USPS in the dropdown. then delete and renenter the tracking number. This has worked everytime for me--and I do not know an easier way to explain . (Nor why it works) LOL

@ThePurplePuppy Thank you!!!! It did not work the way you said but got me on the right track.  I just switched the carrier to a different carrier and then added the same tracking in and etsy accepted it. So weird....

Mark as complete first then enter the tracking number.

I'm having the same issue...made shipping label on Pirateship, not updating on Etsy yet. Still showing open. Although labels I made a few minutes ago for Etsy, updated and worked fine...so weird!

@ThePeddlersShed @NanaLetha @PillowDetails  It has been sitting like this for over 2 hours.  At least the tracking is updating and showing  the order is USPS possession now.
