PSD files no longer supported??

What is going on with Etsy. Is anyone else having issues uploading PSD files? I've been on the phone with support the last 2 days. I cannot convert my PSD files to any other file format due to the smart objects attached. My customers will not be able to use the file. Etsy call center is useless they never help.

PSD is not on the list of supported file types.

Yes, I know they aren't on the list.  I have looked at that and have never had an issue. Just seeing if others have had issues that sell psd files on Etsy.

To the best of my recollection, Etsy has never supported PSD files. And if you have a lot of smart objects or layers, your file size is probably going to be larger than you can upload as well. I think there is a 20MB limit for file size. 

You may have to list it as a product that requires you to ship it to them as a flash drive. Anyway, as long as you are shipping something I think that is Etsy legal.

Two solutions.

Zip the PSD file if its under the required size, upload the zip file.
Option 2,  Provide a PDF with a link to a shared folder on a free google drive.

That would be a violation of Etsy terms if she is listing it as a digital download. And if she listed it as a digital product that has to be mailed and didn't mail it but provided a link instead, that would be a violation as well.

Etsy isn't really set up the way it needs to be to serve digital sales properly.

PSD files aren't universal, you may want to consider a different format.

@bradgoodell While not everyone has access to Photoshop, those who do will buy PSDs because of the functionality they provide. 

I have specifically bought PSDs because I use Photoshop. I wouldn't consider another format because it would slow down my workflow. 

As long as the file type is specified in a listing then there will be a market for them.

Thank you all for your replies. I have been selling my digital downloads on Etsy for 5 years now and have had no issues until the last couple of days. All of my files are under 20 mb so that isn't the issue. I have been on the phone with support many times in the last couple of days and they can't figure out what is going on either. I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue. PSD files have had no issues I create digital mockups and they have never ever been a problem.
