My customers order was not shipping and affecting my Star Seller Rating! When I reached out to Printify, they informed me that printer does not ship to a PO Box. First, why was there no notification for this issue so it could be promptly resolved and secondly why is the customer able to enter a PO Box if it is not a valid shipping option? This seems to be a platform problem and not one I should be penalized for as shop owner. I would like my Star Seller Rating to remain favorable and not be penalized for a problem I was completely unaware of.

@MissiMississippi: I suspect that Etsy will NOT consider this an Etsy issue - you choose to use Printify and ultimately it is your responsibility to make sure that everything works. How is Etsy supposed to know where you (via Printify) will not ship to or using what shipping companies unless you tell them? Are your shipping profiles set up using only valid shipping methods?
It's not an Etsy issue. It's up to you to know the ins and outs of Printify. I would refund and cancel the order. Reach out to the buyer and let them know the problem.

Because the customer is buying on etsy, and you are fulfilling via printify.
There is no way to telling etsy, you cannot ship to a PO Box.
Etsy takes all address types.

This definitely seems like a Printify issue. Why didn't they notify you that your order wasn't shipping so you could get a street address? I don't use Printify. Do they reach out to the customer themselves in this situation? To me, having an unshipped order just sitting there is worrisome behavior from Printify. (Again, I don't use them, so I could be missing something.)
PO box are valid addresses on Etsy.
It seems the POD does not ship to PO boxes. It is up to you do know what Printify will and will not do.
Happens to me , when I get an order for my large parcels that i use DHL/UPS for I can not ship to a PO box so I ask my customer for an alternative. Its simple to do, and it has nothing to do with Etsy. My Small orders that go via post have no issues with PO boxes , its up to you to learn how to run your business. Sorry lesson learned an next time you will know.
Ultimately it is up to you to stay up to date on your orders. I check my printify a minimum of 2 times a day to make sure things are staying on track (morning and night). If my order has not shipped in 5 days (the max for my printer) I immediately, at 6pm EST open a chat with Printify to find out what is going on. POD is not a "set it and forget it" business like the YouTubers like to suggest. It is especially important to check a few hours after an order to make sure nothing is held up. I suspect you were notified on your Printify dashboard that this order could not process. This is where they notify you.
