There is a problem with connection between ETSY and Pinterest. I can not pin my items on the boards created for Etsy selling. Anyone else?
It is fixed. I couldn’t yesterday, could today.
Same here. Worked yesterday but today I get this message: "You don't have permission to create content for this domain. To use this domain you must first verify domain ownership in your business settings" WTH is that?
same here
Here also, been trying today and get same (above) message.
I had a problem when I tried yesterday. Have not tried today but I believe mine has something to do with Pinterest not linking business and personal accounts anymore. I have two shops, one a personal account and the other the business account, which allowed me to pin their items, Now I can only do one. Need to do more research on how to fix it. There is another thread yesterday on this. Seems there were two issues going on. Still doesn't make sense to me on how to integrate my personal account (one shop) with the business account (other shop).
@BrooklynStVintage When you say you have 1 personal account/shop and 1 business account/shop, do you mean here on Etsy?
How is it not all business?
I have pinned, no problems.
I can't pin anything either. It says I don't have permission. It must be a glitch since I have been doing the same way for years.
Oh dear. What are Etsy fiddling/breaking now?
@SoulStarChakras It may be what did Pinterest fiddle with or break. They announced awhile back that "business" accounts (which we were required to have if we were using Pinterest for any sort of business purposes) will now have a separate log-in from your personal Pinterest account. I'm not sure if this means I need to set up a new Pinterest account for my business or if Pinterest will sort it out - which would be best, I think, since I've got years of "business" pins on there that I'd hate to lose! Think I'll try to pin something right now and see if it works!
ETA: When I go to Pinterest, I still land on my "Business Hub" page. I was able to pin a few items!

me too! It says I don't have permission! Worked fine until yesterday
Same here, broken today with the same message everyone else is getting
Same thing for me. I went looking thru my account on Pinterest to see if there was something I needed to do there, but any of the "fixes" seemed like they required advanced coding degrees to sort out, lol. I don't have the knowledge to follow thru or even decide if that's something that will disappear my entire account there that I've spent years building up.
If this is on Pinterest's side of the problem, they just screwed up big time. If I can't pin my things there anymore, I have NO reason to spend time on their site. I'm hoping it's because of something Etsy did (because it's usually something Etsy did, amirite?)
I did see a message from the Etsy side somewhere that they were working on fixing the intregation.
Yes! Every morning I go to pin a couple of listings and today it won't let me. I get this message:You don't have permission to create content for this domain. To use this domain, you must first verify domain ownership in your business settings.
I don’t bother pinning from Etsy. I pin directly from photos (on my iPad). Etsy integrations seem to be forever glitchy.
That's probably going to be the solution if I want to keep pinning my listings to Pinterest.
I'm really interested in knowing which end the problem is on tho - Etsy or Pinterest? Because if it's Pinterest I may give them the stink eye and not keep pinning there. I suspect it's something Etsy did, like how we can't pin any other seller's listings directly to a Pinterest board anymore when we used to be able to. That's how one of my old teams used to promote heavily there, and Etsy just poofed it away.
Me too...
Me too but I think it is just a temporary Pinterest glitch. So wait it out. You can still Pin from your phone ..............
My two cents. The directions on Pinterest on how to use it are very, very confusing. A while back, I stumbled somewhere (maybe on the Forum) on the advice that to have a "business" account on Pinterest, you had to go through the steps on Pinterest to "claim" it. Claiming involved you owning a URL separate from Etsy, like a website. You could not "claim" Etsy as your "business" account because you do not own Etsy.
So, with my tiny shop, I have just a personal account. I just pinned something today using my PC, with no problem, by going into my Shop Manager, clicking on my shop under Sales Channels, opening a listing, and clicking on the Save/Pinterest icon at the top to create a new Pin.
Maybe the problem happens if you have a website (your "business" account on Pinterest) and your "personal" account (your Etsy shop). Under Pinterest's new rules, the pinning is all messed up.

Pinterest recently made changes to linked accounts, I suggest you head over there to see if this is impacting your posts .
