Outgoing Messages Disappear when using Seller App

Three times now I've responded to messages using the Etsy Seller app and they've never made it to the person and don't show up in my Messages tab on the website. Once it cost me my Star Seller badge for three months (I don't get a lot of messages), the other two it didn't but, it still looked to the buyer like I hadn't bothered to respond in an ongoing thread.

Curious if anyone else has had this issue.

I'm sorry this happened to you.  I've not used the app, but heard it can be glitchy.  (I've always used the same desktop computer).

@FelisIndigo: There are lots of threads in this forum about issues with the apps including issues like yours. Sadly, the consensus seems to be that one should manage their orders and messages via a browser to be safe.

I did search for this topic but all it came back with was Star Seller issues...because there are soooo many of them.

I only use the app now to chime at me when I have a sale or a message. Otherwise, I won't use it any longer.

@FelisIndigo: If the various threads are anything to go by, just don't rely only on the ka-ching for order notification.

Oh, I don't. I keep both my email and my seller dashboard open on my computer all the time. Between the three of them, I shouldn't miss a sale. The app just keeps me aware when I'm away from my computer. There's times I find I got a sale via email and didn't hear the ka-ching, but I've missed notification pings from other apps so I figured it was just my hearing.

Yep, learned hard way when messaged a person in next town when order would arrive, and got dinged for not answering. Only really use it for Cha- Chings.
