When I went to my Printify account to make some new sweatshirts, I noticed that some sizes and colors are now out of stock with the print provider (and no other to replace it with). The problem is all of these are still showing up in my Etsy shop as "In Stock." How can this be? I thought these two sites are linked? Shouldn't it show that it is out of stock on Etsy? I've had to cancel and refund a few orders due to this
Does anyone know what to do about this?
Thanks!
That sounds like something you may need to ask your printer about. There may be a lag in when things are marked out of stock, there may be a setting you need to enable with your production partner or the integration could just be buggy as they sometimes are. You should ask your printer to be sure everything is set up correctly.
This printify help page may have some info on settings. It sounds like you need to check your preferred variant visibility options setting on printify https://help.printify.com/hc/en-us/articles/4483616024721-What-happens-when-some-product-variants-go...
Thanks for your info- I updated the preferred variant visibility but it seems like I have to republish all these listings from printify for it to correctly update in etsy. Seems a bit manual.
I don't think it will update automatically if a SKU is out of stock/inventory. Printify is just used to publish and push your listings through their platform onto Etsy and after publishing, any updates needed to the listing need to be done manually that I know of.
