Hello,
I am new to Etsy and noticed I met the minimum 5 required orders needed but it still shows "Not There Yet." I noticed the order amount was changed today to reflect current but i did not receive the green check mark. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.
Star seller eligibility begins 90 days after your first sale. You also need to meet the previous three month $300 and five sale requirements before any badges will be awarded. You can read about it on your shop manager page under star seller or on the link below:
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403058372503?segment=selling
and when you do meet all the SS criteria, it sometimes takes a day or two and sometimes more to update.
I took a look at your shop and saw an adorable dog dress. Even though I had no intention of buying a dog dress for my granddog who is visiting us for a couple weeks, this dress is adorable. But I didn't see anywhere to indicate size even though you had sizing information. Does that mean that this dress comes in a particular size - for very small dogs?
Anyhow, welcome to Etsy, cute items and do everything you can to make shopping ultra easy for buyers. Your pictures are obviously working because I am not a big impulse shopper and the dog dress pulled me in.
@WagginBuddies: "Is there a limited time frame the Seller would have to meet in order to get that status back?" Presuming that other requirements are met, Star Seller is evaluated on the previous three months, for February star it is November, December, and January.
Your items don't adhere to Etsy's TOU. If your items are reported, your shop will be shut down. Also self promotion is not allowed in the forums.
If a buyer has any questions you did not answer, you will likely lose the sale. Hardly anyone will bother to ask you, they will just hit their back button and go to one of your competitors who already answered their question in their description. If someone does email you to ask, you can be sure a 100 more didn't bother, so add that info to your description if anyone asks about anything.
@WagginBuddies Unfortunately, I don't believe you fully understand Etsy TOU regarding "handmade" and "production partners". More info here @ https://www.etsy.com/legal/section/sellers
All your items are listed as "handmade", but exactly WHO handmade each of your items? Etsy defines handmade as "by the Etsy shop owner/seller", so that means only YOU (not by anybody else or any other company). If YOU did not handmake any of these items yourself, they cannot be listed as such!
You have multiple production partners listed, each in China (yikes)! Production partners are NOT who you buy the product from, or even who/where the box says the item was manufactured (a common misconception of production partners). Production partners are not who you source products from in order to resell them on the WWW. Etsy defines "production partner" as someone you physically contract with to manufacture the items that YOU designed. By taking a contract out with a company and listing them as your production partner, that means they CANNOT manufacture the exact same item for anyone else! Do you have a contract with EACH production partner you have listed? Do they explicitly manufacture your items only for you? If they also manufacture these same items for other sellers, they are not your PP!
Since your products, pictures, and descriptions are all the SAME on MANY different websites, who have each sold these exact same items for a lot longer than you, that means you are actually reselling, and in doing so, is against Etsy TOU! You cannot buy an item from somewhere/somebody and slap your own brand name on it if you did not have ANYTHING to do with the design or making of the product!
I wish you all the best in your new Etsy adventures!

Hello, thanks for looking at my site. In the description it shows the Sizing Chart. Glad you may be possibly interested in a Waggin Buddies Dress. All dresses are size small except the Striped Bear Dog Dress is a X-Small. Thanks for giving me some pointers to make a few changes to make the size more noticeable.

@WagginBuddies I think she means that your items can be found at Walmart, Amazon and AliExpress. That's called reselling.
Thanks for making me aware but I did not purchase my products from those companies. Waggin Buddies does have limited items for sale that we will no longer list once sold-out. A majority of those items only have 1-3 left. Thank you both for bringing this to my attention and helping me learn a lot more about Star Seller. I do have a question for ETSY on how does someone still stand out as a Star Seller when they have consistently neglected to ship or respond to the buyers after purchase? Is there a limited time frame the Seller would have to meet in order to get that status back? I know there is ALOT of new Sellers on here like myself. Regardless of the Star Seller continue to work hard and follow the steps given to better service your buyers and the connection you bring with others as a Seller. Please keep my business in mind you will soon see 2 of my products in a local store near you soon.
