I've found a bug this afternoon when trying to reconcile my taxes for the last quarter. This particular bug might be tricky to replicate on purpose, but here's bullet point description of my filters and what's happening:
- In the "Orders & Delivery" section of my account
- Sort by is the default value = "Date completed"
- 50 orders per page
- the only filter different to default settings is "Destination" > "Australia" (my store is based in Australia)
- I have 4 orders that were completed on October 22. I know this from my own spreadsheet + tax keeping records.
- 3 of them show on page 2
- 1 of them shows on page 3
- The order on page 3 is also in the group on page 2. There is a fourth order missing from both pages.
So the list is showing 4 orders total on October 22nd across two pages but not the 4 unique orders it should be.
The orders in the list are grouped by the date they're completed. In this case, I have a number of orders completed on the same day, causing the bottom results of page 2 to be October 22nd, and the top result of page 3 to also be October 22nd.
I'm not sure what the secondary sort within this grouping is, but I have an order that's appearing on both page 2 and page 3; and another order I know happened on that date that doesn't appear on either page. So whatever secondary sort is being used it's either inconsistent between the pages or is faulty in some other way.
I can find this 4th order by showing 35 orders by page because the day is no longer split over 2 pages or by searching for the ID.
