Orders are marked as late or no tracking, when they were shipped on time with tracking

I noticed that my "On-time shipping & tracking" percent keeps going down, even though I'm shipping everything on time and with tracking. 

The tracking number (and correct date) show up in the order history as well, but the spreadsheet attached to the "On-time shipping & tracking" section left the "Tracking/label date" blank on my last few orders. 

I'm mostly just confused - has anyone else ever seen this? I'd love to get a Star Seller badge but this is the only thing I'm not hitting.

Are you using Etsy labels?

I'm not - I use certified mail with USPS (sent in letters, not packages). It hasn't been a problem before, I just noticed the last few didn't get recognized by etsy!

There doesn't seem to be a good/affordable solution for using Etsy labels with letters, from what I can tell

@postcardsbylizzy: How long ago did you ship and have the packages been scanned at least once? If the shipper is supported by Etsy make sure that the shipped date, tracking number and shipping company show correctly on the actual order. Etsy relies on a third party vendor for tracking (and tracking number validation) and uses the data on the order. Often recent shipments are not correctly / timely updated in the CSV file. Our experience is that a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file correctly shows tracking and shipment status and the Star Seller stats auto update (but not retroactively).

Oh interesting! I shipped between 1-7 days ago (5 shipments), but it's possible the shipping date isn't accurate. 

The ship date is just the date I dropped it off at the post office and initiated the certified mail, maybe the "correct" ship date is something else?

@postcardsbylizzy: The shipped date should be the date that you marked the order as completed on. What sometimes happens is that an order does not show up in the CSV file until after the scheduled ship by date regardless of when you actually shipped.

I would check the CSV file daily to make sure that the data is being updated.

To purchase a First-Class shipping label for a letter or flat on Etsy, choose either Flat or Letter as the Package type when purchasing a shipping label.

@nineteen27: We do not use Etsy labels, so we don't know, but do Etsy labels have an option for Certified Mail which is what OP uses.

i was only going by what was written here:
