Orders Disappeared and Balance Dropped to $0 – Technical Issue?

Subject: Orders Disappeared and Balance Dropped to $0 – Technical Issue?

Hello Etsy Community,

I need help understanding a strange issue I experienced today.

Around 12 PM, I uploaded a new product to my shop. Shortly after, I received 2 sales notifications and saw my balance was $4. However, when I checked again a few hours later, the orders were gone and my balance dropped to $0.

I didn’t receive any emails about cancellations or account issues. My shop still looks active. Could this be a technical issue? Or has my account been restricted without a notice?

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

Thanks in advance for any help or insights.

Best,
[Planekt]

If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.

If you did see orders and then they did disappear, it was likely there was a problem with the buyer's payment.

@Planekt   @VanteoArtGallery  Hi, I'm sorry you both have been plagued by scammers. Just remember, when you have a TRUE Order, it will appear in "Orders" (Left Column of Shop Manager). It also will show in your Payment Account. If an Order does not show in those places, you have no Order.
Also, sometimes an Order will show as "Processing"; it it does, you don't ship until Processing Clears.

Hope this helps.

Yes,It's happened to me twice already. I'm new to Etsy, I don't have any sales yet and I don't understand anything. I don't know if it's fraud... or what's going on.

I also received an email asking for my bank details. Look, the order was placed by someone who sells on Etsy as well. Could it be fraud?
