From google.com and then clicking on Etsy icon it opens a weird page of someone that I have no idea of whom he is and that never posted anything. How do I change that? I want to click on Etsy and it opens my store page, not someone else's page. I appreciate any help with that.
I wouldn't put it into Google. Not sure what you're finding there.
For me, I can either go to just Etsy.com and at the top right of the page there's the little shop icon, that will take me to my dashboard. In my dashboard, there is a link to my shopfront, yours would be something like this CottonAndSea - Etsy
I have both those places favorited at the top of my browser so I can easily get to whichever spot I want to go to. I would consider favoriting whichever spot is where you are looking to go.
You can bookmark your own shop in your browser: https://www.etsy.com/shop/CottonAndSea . You can also access your shop home in the Shop Manager (just click the shop icon listed under "Sales Channels"
You will have to give us more detail - what did you search on Google, and what part of Google? (organic, images etc.)
CottonAndSea.etsy.com will take you directly to your shop front. Always use www.etsy.com to login to your dashboard. Then click the shop icon at the top right of the page to login. Since I login to my shop every day, the Etsy.com link is automatically added to my browser screen when I open it.
I would NOT go to Google to reach my shop. You never know what scammer has made a page that looks like Etsy, but isn't Etsy. Type one letter off and you could end up on one of those scammer sites.
Is the OP asking about setting up a shortcut or quick link from the "Google page" when they're using Chrome as a browser?
maybe it was Haim with his hair on fire and the Storque blog.
I know what OP means, if I just want to look for something on Etsy, not go to my own shop, I go to the search bar and start typing in Etsy, I end up on the same shop every single time as well. It's a shop I searched for once. I don't want to land there every time it's annoying but I also can't figure out how to change it
Maybe just bookmark your shop dashboard? That way you click it and you go right to your dashboard. My browser opens 5 tabs the moment I load it, my dashboard, website, the forums and my brokerage accounts. Gotta keep up with the money : )
I don't think I've seen the Etsy homepage in years. If I need to search for something I do it from my own storefront.
