Open a listing and Sell on Etsy App closes

Going on 48 hours now! Is anyone having this issue? I am not able to fix the issue on my own which I’m used to being able to do.

recently updated the iOS software on my phone, reinstalled the sell on Etsy app multiple times, all apps are updated, cleared my website history data, restarted my phone.. everything but nothing will help the app work! It’s horrible.

I am having the exact same problem and now putting my new listing up is nearly impossible. What’s the fix?

I too am having the exact issue.  Just updated my IOS and now my Etsy App will not work.  Frustrated

Try the browser.  The app is almost totally useless.

Many of the people in this forum can sympathize with your situation but a quick search of this forum will bring up innumerable threads about issues like yours with the app. If look through the various threads you'll see that there are all sorts of issues with the Etsy apps and apparently eMail notifications, too. The consensus appears to be that sellers really need to manage their orders and messages through a browser.

I got ahold of  live chat support - here is a possible solution 

delete the Current Etsy app

go in and install the Etsy app but the one that is coming up as sell on Etsy and is blue with white lettering - that so far has worked for me.  Still working myself around the differences but it hasn't kicked me out.  Hope that helps.

The new Etsy Seller app is locked into portrait mode on an iPad, making it useless to use with an attached keyboard.

The new listing format is terrible to navigate, too.

No…. That app works perfectly fine. It’s the original sell on etsy app that is kicking me out. Using the new app makes the process take longer and you can’t use all the functions (like variations) which are crucial to my shop. You are forced to go to Etsy.com to add and that defeats the entire purpose.

The latest iOS update seems to have broken the Sell on Etsy app.

The new Etsy Seller app is useless on an iPad with an attached keyboard as it is locked into portrait mode. And the new format of your listings is horrible to navigate.

You also can't fix pictures and it's terrible for just setting up items for sale.  This is not a good time right before Xmas to start messing around with things.

I've been kicked out of the new blue one repeatedly for probably 2 months now. So much that I've stopped listing on etsy out of frustration. Which is a real bummer.  I have many etsy specific items yet here they sit.
