Not receiving notifications of sales

Etsy seller app not notifying me when an item has sold. I normally get that cha-ching noise and banner pop up on screen, but I am not receiving them. I am receiving notifications when people favorite items, but not receiving actual sales notices. Really frustrating. All of my items are toggled on in the settings, both on my iPhone as well as within the app itself, I have changed nothing and been selling on Etsy for years. I believe it is a bug within the app

Another seller recently shared the same problem so it may be a bug within the app. Have you tried removing the app and reloading it?  If you have a feedback button showing, definitely share this issue.

I've never used the App, but from what others are saying, it has a lot of glitches.  I would use a browser instead.

I found I needed to reset my notifications on my phone to get the ChaChing back.

However, don't ever count on it.  Check your shop once daily, it's the only way to truly avoid missing things.

I never count the app notification. I log into my shop via browser at least 3 times per day.

I have had the same problem. I can't get it to work, nothing I do.

  Between this problem, Seller Reserves sprung on my shop, and support not replying to queries, Etsy has taken some serious steps backward.

I'm really cross as I have just been notified of a message on Etsy only to see another message and sale from 2 weeks ago that I had no idea about. No notification via email and no Cha-ching that's for sure. Nothing showing on the app to let me know. I so rarely sell on here now I dont check regularly. So now I have probably lost a rare sale. I think I may close my shop actually as this happened a while ago with a big order too. Hopeless.

There has been a problem with this for months - if you had a brick and mortar store would you ignore it for days, weeks?

As a shop owner you are responsible for tending your shop.  

It's only hopeless if you neglect your business and don't check it at least once daily.

I've never seen it written anywhere (doesn't mean it isn't) that Etsy has to notify us when we have a sale - it's up to us to run our businesses - not expect Etsy to do it for us.

I don't get- made sale or shipping notification sent to- via email, either. So can't track the package by Etsy and don't know did they inform the customer either. I am using Etsy's shipping service.

@GoWestDesignCA: There are lots and lots of threads in this forum about issues with app and eMail notifications. The consensus is that a seller needs to check their shop at least daily via a browser until these issues are resolved.

My sale ( now refunded) did not even show up on my laptop in orders! 

I just happened to notice I had a message which also hadn't shown up anywhere.

As I make about 5 sales a year I'm not going to check daily.

I am having the same problem. Very frustrating. I’m not getting notifications for favorite items or sales.

Same problem. The notifications on my phone are click on but I'm not getting sales or convo notifications. When the app is open I do get " someone favorited " your item. Oh that's nice.....

New messages and sales weren't showing up on my shop manager column this weekend.  I happened to click on messages and see I had one from 2 days earlier.  I now got dinged on my star seller stats for it.  Unbelievable.  I can't figure out how to contact Etsy to complain about it or review it.  This is on my laptop, not the app.

@StoneCairns: "I can't figure out how to contact Etsy to complain about it or review it."  Etsy has made it clear that they will not manually adjust Star Seller stats (although they have fixed the underlying data in some cases and then Star Seller stats auto update).

If by "shop manager column" you mean the dashboard quick links on the left, we have not noticed that (although we have seen a delay in updating), but then we just have the Messages page and the Orders and Shipping page always open in separate tabs in our browser.

Are you using the new application? Etsy has changed the mobile app recently. mine is working just fine.

Yes I was using the new app. It didn't show up on this or any other other app or on my laptop in the dashboard.

Reset app notifications in the app itself, and also check notifications in your device settings for the etsy seller app. If what you want notifications for is turned on, turn them off and then back on again.

My app wasn't playing the cha-ching sound, so I went online to a trusted notification/ringtone website (starts with a "Z", don't know if I am allowed to mention it here) and downloaded the old etsy cha-ching sound from the previous seller app and set the custom notification sound with that audio file in my device notification settings for the etsy app (not the settings in the app itself, but go to notification settings on whatever device you are using and set it there).
