Hello,
Over the last few weeks, I haven't been receiving messages sent to my email, like usual, from Etsy or Esty customers. My messages are enabled and none of the messages are from previous threads. I don't have spam/junk folder (everything comes directly to my inbox). It's not my server because one message showed up on my phone that said it hadn't been answered in 48 hours, thru Etsy. Well, I'm on my shop every day, throughout the day, and never received a message within those two days. Nothing ever showed in messages. It suddenly just popped up on my phone as being sent 48 hours ago. The message was "supposedly" from Etsy. But, I've noticed that some customer messages are not being sent to my email either. I usually respond immediately to customer messages, if I'm not asleep in the middle of the night, or at work. I cannot respond to something I don't have though, and I always respond within 24 hours. Strangely enough, when I saw the one message from "Etsy", there was no date or time that even showed inside the message. However, it's showing up in the message now, from weeks ago. I receive Etsy notifications all day long on both my websites but, it's just the "messages" that aren't coming through, as far as I know. And as we all know, we are penalized as sellers for not answering messages in a timely fashion.
I even had to send an Etsy help request via the spam/phishing message system because none of the areas to contact them were applicable to my situation. I see where other sellers have experienced this issue in the past, but not seeing where anything was ever rectified. And I'm also seeing where some sellers never received answers from Etsy, which is why I'm reaching out.
Any information is appreciated.
have had the same problem for about 3 weeks or so. Etsy messages are not going to my inbox and replies to messages I send come through as blank.
Etsy email messaging hasn't worked correctly in over a year.
Like the myriad of other site glitches, they seem unable or unwilling to fix it.
Log into etsy properly at least once a day
e-mail is a third party,
and internet/service provider is a third party
e-mail providers can block any e-mail they want, including etsy's for whatever reason their bots decide, and not even put it to a spam folder
or they could have other problems . glitches,
as could service providers
way to many places for problems, if you are running a business.
Ive been having same problem and lost a good customer because of the messages she sent not coming thru--and of course my rating goes down VERY frustrating dammmmmm
