Not all materials listed are showing on Etsy?

I just got a question from a potential customer about the material of an item and I thought I had it listed but when I opened up the listing on etsy.com, it did not show up. This explained her question and I apologised and went into my shop to correct it and saw that it was listed, among one other material (3 in total), but on etsy.com it is only showing the very first one.

Am I missing something or doing something wrong or is this a potential bug?

Etsy always seems to be messing around with the Attributes. Adding, deleting, sometimes actually changing what you wrote.

I think the safest thing to do is to be sure the material, and any other important information, is mentioned in the description.

I just checked out one of my listings, the materials I listed were Reclaimed Fine Silver, Reticulated Silver, and Sugilite gemstone. 

The materials shown are/is, Silver just Silver.  People use this as a color, not a material, some are just stainless steel, others aluminum, smh.

Unbelievable, all the materials should be listed, I don’t know what to say.  I don’t think it is a bug, I don’t think you are doing anything wrong, even if it is supposed to be the first item it is wrong in my listing.

Yes Cat they are also mentioned in the description but people don’t always open the description.

More likely is that it is an intentional design issue - perhaps the person / committee that gives final approval to page design considers that "materials" are provided primarily for the search engine and not users.

Thanks for the responses. I have honestly, in thousands of orders, never had a question about it so it's not a big deal. The design issue mentioned sounds plausible indeed.

If you enter materials in the materials list section (near the tags) and then choose to use a material attribute, the attribute will override the materials list on the published listing. Does that make sense?
