No view

I opened my Etsy shop 4 months ago and at this time i didn't know the importance of daily listing, so i didn't make it lost enough. After a month, I started to make a list, but I think Etys algorithms don't work for me now. It has been 4 months, but i couldn't get a sale, and i don't have more than 20 views daily. Should I close and reopen my store? Should I continue? I don't know what I should do and this situation a little bit demotivated me.

Re: No view

There are millions of listings from sellers selling POD online so you are up against it from the start.

You need to design something which is going to stand out instantly among those other sellers.

POD companies ran and still run one of the best marketing campaigns I have seen, it certainly had hundreds of thousands if not millions watching youtube videos on how to get rich instantly with POD. I am now seeing a shift, in recent weeks POD companies are targeting the consumer with adverts where the customer can order an item direct from them at a much lower cost than what it used to be, certainly much lower than sellers are charging on Etsy.

So it is more important than ever to let your artistic style shine through and create something no other seller has available.

Re: No view

Oh that's so interesting!  I did see an add like this recently.  I suppose they're saturated the markey for POD "stores" and now they need to go directly to the source.

Re: No view

Your shop is unfinished and has poor SEO.

Location is Norway, but you ship from different US states (CA, MD). Canada and so on.

No returns accepted.

The listing I checked has one-word "Mother" title and no tags at all.

Your descriptions look like they're from your POD partner and not written by you. "I will do everything we can to make sure that when your order comes home you will get something you enjoy!" Is it "I" or "we"?

There is NO rule of daily listing.

"I don't know what I should do"

It's easy, Stop listing. Read Etsy Handbook. Read Shop Critiques forum section. Learn how to finish your shop, how to write titles, descriptions and tags. Take notes and work on your stop and current listings. It's a lot of work, but you have to do it if you want your Etsy shop to succeed.

Good luck!

Edited to add. I"m not sure if you can post in Shop Critiques, since you posted in the Technical Issues. No technical issues in your situation.

Re: No view

Hello Natalya,

Thank you for your detailed comment. It is really meaningful for me? Actually, the listing that you checked I was working on it. Can you check my other listing, please? Do they have also poor SEO?

want to ask because I do not have too much information about the location. Is that the problem? Cannot I sell a product from Norway to US? Can I change my location, is not it a problem?

@BlueHorizonCanvas

I would strongly suggest to read Etsy Handbook and Shop Critiques forum section. Many POD shops ask mostly the same questions. Shop title, announcement, sections, About page, shop policies, etc.

Make each and every listing look and feel as personal and unique as you can. With literally millions of POD shops, very similar hoodies and mugs, buyers are sick and tired of generic mockups and AI text like "Treat her to a meaningful gift that she'll cherish every time she enjoys her favorite beverage.

Buyers want to know where their order ships from. Different shipping locations can be an issue for some buyers. And your shop location is where you are.

Re: No view

@BlueHorizonCanvas - You can't change the location of your shop.  It has to be where are.

If you are using POD companies located in the US, then that is where it will show the item is being shipped from.

Re: No view

Your citrus mug.  There is nothing floral about it, but your title and tags say floral.  Also in your tags you mention lemon and not the other fruits.  You could also mention colors.  Use as many of the 20 characters available for each tag, don't use single words and don't repeat words.

Re: No view

@BlueHorizonCanvas: In addition to the other excellent advice, keep in mind that with each passing day a shop can rely less and less on Etsy Search - you need to drive your own traffic and sales so that the algorithm learns that people want what you are selling.

Re: No view

Do you mean social media traffic? I didn't know this also affected the Etsy Algorithm. Thank you.
