No response in ticket for over 3 months

Hello everyone,

I'm using my second store to make this thread as for some reason my main store does not have the rank "Etsy seller" and is unable to post here which is very weird as I can see a store linked to my account...

Store: OldCamsByJens

The situation:

Over 3 months ago I received an email saying some of my listings had been deactivated for violating the handmade policy. This certainly came as a surprise as I sell vintage cameras and lenses etc..

After receiving the violation my star seller badge was removed. I tried reaching out to Etsy support but only received canned responses through chat. As I got no help from the chat I made a support ticket which has not received a reply in over 3 months.. Since then I have tried contacting Etsy through chat but have also not been able to get any response. Unfortunately it is also not possible to get a callback to Belgium.

I also want to point out that I should have received "multiple warnings" which I never got. The only thing I received was that Etsy deactivated some of my listings for violating the Handmade Policy. Which I believed to be a mistake and thought would get rectified when someone manually controlled the violation. However this did not happen and a week after receiving that email my star seller badge was removed.

Now this is my last resort to find some contact with Etsy and try to figure out what I was doing wrong in hopes to prevent this from happening again in the future.

Hopefully this reaches the right people who can help me.

EDIT: More information

Kind regards

Jens

You need to respond to canned messages saying you still need help.  If you don't reply then Etsy closes the matter.  Remember it was a bot who sent that email and many are in error.  I don't see how vintage camera lenses could be handmade by you in any event.

Your shop  OldCamsByJens in still open as is this one.

I would send another email and maybe put something like "Star Seller Badge removed in error" in the title in the hope that you can get it back.

Thank you for replying so quickly. I just responded again to the ticket in hopes to get a reply.

Regarding the canned responses, I always did try and explain I needed more help and they always escalated it to the right department but never got a response from anyone.

Should I open another ticket or to what email should I try again?

Kind regards

Jens

Re: No response in ticket for over 3 months

Take one email and respond back to Etsy that you still need help.  That's how it is done.  Etsy sends a generic email and if no answer to issue then a seller needs to reply back with needing more help.

Uh, you have star seller so it seems the takedown did not affect you.

You have no date range on your vintage items.  It is quite possible that the items that were taken down are still in production.  If so that may be why the takedown.  Your listings should include the years you think the item was sold.

Re: No response in ticket for over 3 months

@SecondBlissBE  - In the shop you are posting from you do have 2 cameras listed. Your other shop appears to be strictly vintage cameras.
Some say having a small overlap in the type of listings in shops with common ownership is okay. Others think this is tempting fate, so to speak.
Possibly consider deactivating the two cameras & list them in the other shop to be on the safe side?

As for the violating Etsy's handmade policy, often listings are flagged, deactivated by Bots. Some of the bots have image recognition & overall how well any of the bots are programmed plays into this. Add in the need for more humans to review listings &/or review the other actions such as removal of the Star Seller Badge & the wait time for shop owners is not going to improve.

I wouldn't try opening a new ticket, but find one & keep responding that you still need help. You can be more persistent & send a follow up once a week or so. This whole process will test your patience.

Off topic - do rethink your Zenit camera listing.
