Hi, I'm getting a message that I'm blocked when I try to search or browse. I think Etsy has gotten spooked that I might be a bot because of my browser add-ons, uBlock origin and Privacy Badger. That's at least what I glean from reading other discussions? I did also send the same copy-and-paste message about a custom order to like 8 sellers this afternoon, just changing the salutation...
What I'm saying is I understand the suspicion.
Anyone know if I can get around this without clearing my cache? I rather like staying logged in to my sites and having my shopping carts retain goods throughout sessions, etc. Thank you for helping! I really appreciate it!
Most times these programs need to be halted in order to use Etsy. Etsy does not like the VPN I have so I no longer use it when on Etys.
Honestly I have never had probleems with ads on Etsy or anyplace else so have no need for ad blockers.
Uh if you are sending the same message to these sellers you do run the risk that Etsy will close down your messages. It would be considered spam by the algorithm that oversees messaging.
@KittyandZeke : Not sure about the cart, but as long as you are careful about which cookies you delete you can clear cache with getting logged out.
I use a VPN & Privacy Badger with Etsy. I've never had any issues with the Privacy Badger browser extension. Periodically I have issues with the VPN, but that hasn't happened in many months now. I would get some error code on Etsy & need to turn off the VPN so I could load the website. Sometimes changing the VPN location would work instead of turning it off.
Can you test turning off the extensions or changing your VPN? You can clear your cookies just for Etsy & not everything else.
