I have reported the problem to etsy customer support, and all appropriate sections have been checked or filled out per their review.
So, why do I continue not to get any notification of sales?
I stopped getting regular emails years ago, went through all the back and forth with Support - nothing had changed on my end. Still, to this day, I only get a fraction of the emails I am supposed to be getting from Etsy, like you are describing. Example - out of 3 sales over the weekend, only one transaction email. And no, nothing in Spam folder - ever.
I've gotten in the habit of checking my shop a couple of times a day, and I suggest everyone does the same, and don't rely on the emails.
* My thought is, if I'm getting SOME of the emails from Etsy, but not ALL, how can it be an issue on my end?
It is exactly the same for me, with the exception this started for me last fall.
It is also the same with my "message" emails. Get some, not others.
What kind of notification? On the app? Via email? On your shop dashboard?
Seller dash as I do not use app.
Sometimes, and email
Other here expressed same problem..
@COOLSTUFF4YOU2BUY: Sadly there are lots and lots of threads in this forum about issues with app and eMail notifications. The consensus is that a seller needs to check their shop at least daily via a browser until these issues are resolved.
Etsy messaging/email has been inconsistent and unreliable for months. I check my dashboard every few hours to make sure I'm not missing a sale or message. It is annoying.
Me too! And as in the past with No problem- now when I switch between my 2 shops I’ve gotten I get that “sign in - you should be receivinga text messsge containing 6 digit security code in next 60 seconds - I never get the code!!!
@MimizCottage: Not a solution to your immediate issue, but one workaround is to login into each shop using a different browser so that you do not need to continually log out and log in.
When you set up two factor authorization you were offered the opportunity to download backup codes. If you have those you should be able to use one to log in.
I've started having this problem in the last week. I get email notifications for some orders, but not all. Luckily I noticed the first sale without a notification before it was late dispatch, and have been checking Etsy several times a day ever since.
I tried Chat support, but was told to check Junk, which didn't help. As a way of life, I check my Junk file and delete spam all the time, so it's not that.
Having read this thread, I'm surprised Support didn't acknowledge there was a known problem.
Sale emails are the only emails I consistently get (never get important announcements/notifications) and I have never used emails to know when I get a sale. I have always used on the cha-ching on my phone and it has been 100% reliable. This all showcases just how unstable and messed up the programming is. The more they patch things instead of well and truly fixing them the worse it gets.
Bottom line, sounds like etsy has an unresolved problem they are not willing/able to correct.
As their CUSTOMERs, we deserve better! Notification of a sale made is important not only to sellers, but for etsy if they want to keep us as customers giving them their underserved fees!
